ADMINISTRATIVE REASSIGNMENT?
Lots of rumors today that Judge Skolnik has been removed as Chairperson in the County Court Civil Division. Supposedly Judge Ross and friends have determined that the miniature Orb and Sceptre be bestowed upon Judge Lee.
Could this have had anything to do with the JQC's recent visit to Broward? Who knows. The problem is that there have been so many rumors about Judges complaining about each other that it's getting really hard to separate fact from fiction.

Apparently, from the scuddlebutt around the courthouse, a number of people have been interviewed by investigators of the JQC. It's speculation as to exactly who, but they may as well stay for a while, these people can't seem to behave themselves for very long if the past couple of months have been any indication.
Just what Lee has been waiting for. He probably thinks it's a merit award. That guy is so full of himself. For what, it's anybody's guess.
I hope the JQC has a pair of balls and will do a Judge Sloop to some of these Broward Judges. Broward County needs a good kick in the ass from the JQC, so these Judges can get off their high horse and start doing what is right.
When's the coronation? Maybe it comes with a tiara. He'd like that.
A good housecleaning is just what this place needs. However, it's going to take a cleaning crew. There's been a lot of cobwebs that have accumulated.

is it true that Skolnik spoke with the JQC about Jay? this is what i heard. did any other judges talk to the JQC about county court too?
maybe we can just reassign some criminal judges to the civil side. I can name 4 or 5 that should follow Judge Aleman to the civil side. It is by time the civil lawyers get dished some of the shit the criminal side has been dealing with.
Last I checked none of Judges in the County Civil Division are even rumored to be under the JQC microscope.
I know this may sound crazy maybe Skolnick didnt want the additional duties that come with the CHairmanship anymore and/or it was just a mere administrative decision. There are times, again it sounds crazy, that these position are rotated on merit or longevity in the Division.
I think the criminal judges are ok. Just a couple of throwbacks to the old pre-registry days kill it for everybody. Holmes and O'connor have to go. And it's no coincidence that both of theose two have had major jqc problems. In fact, didn't the civil lawyers reject Holmes? Ross thinks no one cares about the minority community most affected by the miserable drug war. It's a shame there is no defense bar as in Miami. The only thing that matters to the judges is that the civil lawyers have money and can run them out of office and that the bacdl is just a tool of the judges that nuzzles at the judicial bosom.
What about Ross. He should be rotated as well.
Its been my experience that merit has nothing to do with it. These changes seem to be purely political in nature. Petty politics have always been the norm here. Who is beholding to whom and who wants to be the top dog.

Apparently anybody that says anything good about Seidman gets the axe. The fact of the matter is, he's extremely efficient and not prone to error. The Diaz thing makes him a pariah to some. I applaud his stamina and good sense.
Diaz, now that's a real piece of work. He was never very effective when he was a P.D. and now that the dons the black robe, the guy has been nothing but bad news and a constant embarrassment to the judiciary.
I'll second that motion. I've never met a guy that is so unhappy and up to no good so much of the time. You would have thought he'd have learned his lesson the last time he was stung by the JQC. I guess he's just a slow learner.
Yeah, Rotated out of office. Viva Term Limits for the judiciary.
Seidman efficient and not prone to eror? $5,000,000 bonds for everybody?! Treated the lawyers and defendants and victims like dirt. Good riddance.

You better watch out the powers that be around here dont like those that go against Seidman. Most likely he will have the US Attorneys Office find out who we are like he did to Diaz.
This blog has been around since August. $5000 bonds? That was for a minimal assault. Upward of 100k bonds on at least 10 cases a month. Ask the Courtroom personelle why did it change every month, because the way he treated them they begged to get out. ASA's forced to nolle pross cases putting wife beaters back on the street. Defendant's show up 2mins late and get handcuffed to a chair. Then given the option of taking a plea right there and then or go to jail and wait for a bond hearing. 364 for any VOP no matter how minor. Once he gave 364 where a guy called his ex after she had a heart attack and all agreed he just asked how she was.
Lets not forget that he lied to the JNC when he said he never tried to get illegal's in trouble at South Sat, yet the press found the tapes where he did it.
Everyone on here talks about how Aleman was moved to civil because she was bad on the Criminal bench, cant the same be said for Seidman?
Seems funny for all the Judges bad behavior that gets commented on in the Blog, he gets a pass. What can we expect he has coffee everyday with one of the heads of Jaab in the cafeteria.
FIVE FUNDAMENTAL RULES FOR JUDGES CHOOSING TO SMOKE MARIJUANA

Geez. Even being arrested for smoking pot can not get a Judge removed in Broward. Some in the SAO also feel that O'Connor and Holmes need to go in the direction of Aleman.

ASA's should run against judges. Ari and Hans got to do it. The precedent is set. Knock out Holmes or Aleman.
They should all be viewed separately as to the jobs they've done. We have good judges and more than our share of bad ones. Unfortunately, the bad ones are running things here. They need to give others a chance to do better. I can think of a few that would be great picks for chief judge. I see later down the road poor Stacey for no fault of her own paying for her father's sins. We all know how long that confession would take.

Administrative Reassignment? That's a nice way of saying he got the boot for a disagreement he had with another judge. These guys are too much. Do they really think no one knows about the real reason he's been moved? Maybe somebody should ask Jay. I'll bet he's not telling. I'll bet he's a little concerned right now though. SHED some LIGHT on this nonsense boys and maybe things will get a little better, or maybe they won't with this crew in charge. Especially with the addition of Lee at the wheel.

ASAs run for judge? Keep dreaming. They don't have the intestinal fortitude to do that. They want to get appointed. Most of them couldn't run for the position. They couldn't take the heat.
we need new laws, judges should be a great character, have ears to hear with a brain to think with and a mouth, slow to speak. if they want their ------ sucked go home to ur wife or hire a hooker at least she won't be trying cases in front of him. and if ur a woman the same goes for u. i mean vitale probably has enough money to find some one who is hard up. a judge should keep his or her life so where it is hard to get juicy gossip against him or her.
