  We have so many patient and respectable judges here in our County being overshadowed and embarassed by the behavior of a few.
  Does anyone know how our Chief Judge is decided by the other Judges - other than by merely saying "by secret ballot"? I mean, I would think there'd have to be some accounting of the votes to make sure EACH judge votes only one time, right? And THAT could result in one judge being concerned that her vote would be known by the current Chief Judge? Anyone? Bueller?
  
  There have been times in the 11 yrs I've been practicing that I could've filed a Bar complaint on some prosecutors, but I tended to confront them directly, instead. One just doesn't file Bar complaints without a REALLY good reason - no matter who you are reading this, you've got to agree with that?
  
  The Bar asked me to comment on a blog article, not whether I wrote it or not -- so I commented on the article!
  
  The article exposed Judge Aleman's short-lived attempt to set trials ONE~WEEK after arraignment, forcing everyone to waive their right to a speedy trial (I did say to Judge Aleman in ct that "I refer to what I like to call "the good book" in times like these, and rule 3.160 requires a 'rsnbl. amt of time to prepare for trial after arraignment'." Nonetheless, my citation of OBVIOUS legal rqmts. was rudely ignored, and I too had to begrudgingly waive my client's right to a speedy trial.
  
  Were it not for this blog serving as a forum to expose this unfair attempt by Judge Aleman to make defendants waive their rights to a speedy trial, it might have gone on longer - the policy quickly reverted back to normal the week after the blog article.
  
  I thank those who created this forum.

  I am thinking about running against an incumbent judge, if I take on Sprinkles in 2010, would you be my campaign manager? Or, perhaps, we would be running against each other. Also, 2010 has some other judges that need the boot, Aleman for instance. Anyway, it may be Cannarozzi in 2010.
