MY ADDITIONAL TWO CENTS
I just wanted to add to my previous statements about Judge Ross saying we are "undermining" the judiciary. I've been fielding calls and questions all day on this issue, and I've gone from bemusement to anger. The bottom line, in my mind, is that this type of judicial behavior is nothing new in Broward, and that these judges don't need my help, or this blog's help, in undermining the 17th Judiciary. They are doing a great job all by themselves.
For Judge Ross to deflect the obvious flaws in his leadership, and the obvious flaws in the dysfunctional thinking of the judges that are causing this mess, by attempting to scapegoat this blog, is, frankly, despicable. A leader accepts responsibility for his performance, and the actions of those he is responsible for, and for Judge Ross to somehow assert that this blog is undermining the judiciary by shining light on the judicial hijinks and politics that have nearly wrecked this Circuit, is, in my opinion, more evidence that this judicial administration is self-serving and out of touch with the pulse of our multi-cultural community.
Lastly, I resent his comment that we want the judges to fail. Not true. To be perfectly clear, what I want is for judicial administration to climb down from its self-constructed Mount Olympus, and open a dialogue with the community. Only through an open discourse will the myriad of problems, some decades old, as pointed out by no less an authority then the federally funded National Institute of Corrections, be cured. If Dale Ross' ego cannot tolerate a modern, inclusive approach to problem solving (since nothing else has worked so far), then, frankly, he ought to be thanked for his service and removed as Chief Judge.

Its time the Supreme Court of Florida get petitioned to create trem limits on Chief Judges, just as it imposes on its own. In fact, you can call it the Ross ammendment.
The Florida judges are already thanking Dale for statewide diversity training!
I hope the PR firm is charging the taxpayers out the wazoo. How would you like to try and control Ross's mouth? They'll earn there money for sure.
Ross is pissed off because this info is getting out now. That's all. The control freak has lost control. He thinks no one has a right to run against a sitting judge, that everyone in his family who wants to be a judge has a right to it, that no one should ever question him, that he is chief judge for life, and that no one should ever report on his activities. Shame, Shame, Shame. This info is coming out no matter what Dale because this is America. Move if you don't like it.
Awwww Wilamena is pouting....
Ross dont do what Willamena want he has a hissyfit.
So you can say all the bad things about him you want but he cant express his opinions about you and JAAB?
Willamena if you cant take it dont dish it out.
Maybe Ross means that this blog revels in negativity... and why can't it be toned down? Why not give him a chance to fix the problems? Could it be that you do want him to fail?
At least in this village we know who the village idiot is. Judge Ross employs the same tactics as the Bush White House on a local scale.
speaking of Bush - Broward bone heads are reponsible for IRAQ. and those same boneheads gave us o'connor and aleman.
Investigate the JNC. Follow the money...
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........
Like it or not, Ross through his lack of focus on the real issues over the years has already set himself up for failure. No excuses can suffice for the idiocy that has expressed itself from the bench the last couple of months. When he speaks about failure, lets look at the meaning of the word he chose to use and ask ourselves does he by its usage describe unwittingly the present state of affairs. Webster's Dictionary defines Failure or to Fail as: (1)To prove so deficient as to be totally ineffective (2)To be unsuccessful (3) To give or receive an academic grade below the acceptable minimum (4) To weaken, decline, or cease to function properly (5) To disappoint or prove undependable (6) To omit or neglect. I ask any reasonable person to examine what has occurred within this judicial circuit and consider whether any of the antics that have presented themselves by virtue of the actions of both county and circuit court as well as administrative judges fall into the above definition. To put this subject into the proper perspective lets remember first the antics of Judge Diaz and the resulting action of the JQC and the imposition of its findings; a fifteen thousand dollar fine and the issuance of a public apology for his actions. That can hardly be looked upon as proper judicial behavior by any definition. Then without going into great detail we have a veritable string of JQC complaints that have engulfed our judiciary since then including Finer, O'Connor, Aleman, Holmes and now Criminal Administrative Judge Greene. How can this be? Have I left anyone out? Where has Chief Judge Dale Ross been during this time? What has Chief Judge Dale Ross done to implement remedial procedures during this time? Have his efforts been concentrated elsewhere? Well, what has happened since this all began? One thing that surely stands out is that his daughter now occupies a position on our judiciary. Could politics have taken a front seat to all the problems that have taken place since the Diaz fatuity and could new policies and procedures have been implemented to stem the flow of problems since then? The answer is painfully obvious to anyone. Yes, they could have been, and they were not. Then lets look at the actions of our chief judge himself that prompted the visit of Chief Justice Lewis. Did he mean anything untoward in his comments made from the bench? Were the comments made by him of such a nature as to be insensitive in nature? Coming from a person that does not occupy a position of public trust, one might say they were insulting or degrading or at least "insensitive". Never the less, they depict the thoughts in his mind at the time they were made. One would think that the position he occupies as chief judge should preclude him from such prejudice. Then finally to the actions of Judge Greene and his use of the phrase No Humans Involved. Can anyone with any conscience or dignity really defend this kind of behavior? Look at the above definition again.
You forgot Judge Larry aka Judge Judy and the Nichole Smith debacle and then the joint toting Judge Korda exhibiting his penchant for public display in a park in Hollywood in close proximity to school children. I just want to know why he doesn't have to give up the guy that he purchases the pot from?
Can you imagine opening up that can of worms? What if there is a whole network of dealers who may even be public officials that supply weed and worse to the judiciary? Too bad the JQC won't even go there.
Obviously Korda got it from somewhere, and drug dealers usually sell cocaine and even worse stuff, and they sell to our children. Korda should have to give up the dealers or never come back. Stand up Larry, protect our children for real or retire now.
Ross should control his judges, instead of letting them run wild. Working everyday until 5:00 might keep them out of trouble, doncha think?
Korda should have to give up the dealer and NEVER come back! He along with the other bad judges have taken enough from Broward. This isn't your private trough to eat as much as you can anytime your want.
which judges face reelection in 2008?
I hope Feiner is up for reelection!
He is "ripe for the picking" with that nasty, arrogant, ugly, condescending attitude toward people he doesn't know real well. I would love to be there on his last day on the bench to bid him farewell.
I was just floored by the Unprofessional, Biased, revenge-filled, judicial misconduct of 2 judges while in Florida, Judge Greenhawt, and Judge Dijols. Especially Judge Greenhawt, who seems to show no regard for the bench or the legal system, but takes the Phrase, the Sanctity of the Courtroom to a New Level and her own definition, of appearing to be abusing her power on the bench. Never have I seen a Judge so abusive in court, and never have I seen a Judge throw out the Laws of the Land and seem to be working off an agenda of her own filled with Vengeance. Judge Greenhawt, Judge Dijols should be noted to not be working within the confines of the legal community, and the Laws of the land, in the way they conduct "Business" in their courtrooms. Now, I fully understand where they got their Permission to act the way they do in their courtrooms, From the Chief Judge who taught them very well, Dale Ross! There should be a 17th Judicial Downfall, and a severe Investigation into all the actions of all the Judges in the 17th Judicial, and everyone who has been railroaded like this is Russia, should come forward and speak out, as they no doubt have been violated in a very severe way and unjustly, by these Judges and others under Dale Ross, I am very confident of. The garbage that this Dale Ross has produced, needs to be taken out of their positions of allowing them to hurt innocent people for their own agenda, this is Not Russia, it is America, where we are supposed to be Insured a Fair Court experience, and these Judges are not bringing this to the courtrooms! It's a shame that Judges and Lawyers think they have no Accountability for their actions, but believe they are above the law, and above reproach. Well, it is time that the public takes a strong stance and verbally lets it be known what Judges do in wrongful actions towards them. These Judges need to be removed from their benches and face legal action for their wrongs! Let them now be Judged by the legal system, and see how it feels to be on the other side of the bench, or better yet in jail for their improper actions, and abuse of those who do not deserve it, to fulfill their own Personal agendas!
Time to bring in the Feds!
Time for mandatory and random drug testing of ALL courthouse employees.(Especially Judges and Prosecuters)!!!!!
