SPECHLER RESIGNS?

I just heard that Judge Spechler may have sent an email around today announcing he is resigning as Administrative Judge for the County Court.

If this is true, I'm not surprised.  There have been strong rumors that Spechler had to distance himself from Lynch since Ross abdicated, in order to ensure a Lynch Chief Judgeship.

Lynch/Spechler/Ross have been running things around here for a very long time, and many of the County judges are supposedly highly displeased with Spechler's leadership over the County courts.  Of course, the conventional wisdom has it that the County judges will determine who the next Chief Judge will be (based on the Circuit to County ratio of judges), and that Lynch's close, longstanding friendship and working relationship with Spechler would be an impediment to a Lynch victory.

So there it is.  The shakeup continues, but, does it really?

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN.  BROWARD NEEDS REFORM NOW, NOT MORE OF THE SAME.

Like Spechler won't still be running things after Lynch wins?... Give me a break.

Ross may think he abdicated, but he just resigned under pressure. Most of it he created himself. Get with it, these people are just public servants that have fallen down on the job.
