Wiping the slate clean
Tom Lynch memo.....
Upon a quick review of the memo issued last week by Tom Lynch, one could walk away with the impression that there is a decided slate concerning Lynch. But in retrospect, going back and reading it carefully could yield a different conclusion.
A partial slate is established by Ron Rothschild agreeing to be the administrative judge for the civil division under Lynch. But what is lacking is the acceptance of Steve DeLuca in the memo. All the memo states is that Steve DeLuca was asked to be the administrative judge of the county court. Quite different from accepting. As of this writing, there has also been no follow up memo stating that he has accepted the offer.
Does this mean that Steve has not accepted the position and does this mean that Steve would be open to other chief judge candidates asking him to head the same position. In the mind of this reader it lacks what is needed to establish an endorsement through acceptance.
Wouldn't it be interesting if the other three candidates announced that they also asked Steve DeLuca to accept the position of county court administrative judge. Well, at least two, Tobin had mentioned allowing the judges to vote for who they wanted to sit in the county court administrative seat. Thats also not a bad idea.

It is amazing that people have so much free time to think about this stuff. What a waste of great minds.
I didn't realize until reading this post that he hadn't accepted. Interesting development. I have faith that Deluca knows better than to allow himself to be used as a pawn in somebodyelses' silly idea of gamesmanship.
I guess you think it's a waste of time to want something better than what we've had all this time then? Why waste your time posting comments then? Broward deserves better. A mind is a horrible thing to waste. Get yourself one.
Tobin is the only one interested in the position that's come up with any good ideas yet. The rest are just politicking. Sad really.
THE JUDICIARY IS SUPPOSED TO BE DEVOID OF POLITICS. YEAH, RIGHT.
Maybe you think it would be less of a waste of time if people just continued to blindly back some of these freeloaders. Is that it?
What happened to FREE and OPEN ELECTIONS ?
This is the Broward Judiciary, remember?
What's with all the Star Chamber nonsense for the election of a new chief judge anyway? I think the election should be monitored by members of the media and any others that desire to witness the vote. What's the big secret? Some of these people need to grow up and realize they are answerable to the voters and citizens of this county. This isn't their fiefdom to administer the way they see fit. Some of these people must think this is a game or something.
You idiots need to get hobbies or something. The same few, loud people keep trying to make something out of nothing. It's pathetic. You don't care about justice or the judiciary, you have a severe dislike for specific people, and until you get your own way, you are going to continue whining like little babies. Grow up!
Guess you haven't been around the last several months
Sounds lie Cyberblob
Something out of nothing? There's been plenty to observe
Good article
Sounds like your the one doing the whining.
about time someone said it.....
Deluca, if he accepts, and Rothschild should think long and hard before becoming a part of this bamboozle. Everyone knows Lynch = Spechler/Ross. You think Dale is going to let go? You think the whole mafia style loyalty thing they have fostered here for 20 years just vanishes overnight? And you think Lynch is going to cut off his former law partner and day to day surfing buddy Spechler? What a joke. The wicked witch gets killed and the munchkins just vote his administartion back in with a couple of smiley face actors to play the public role, or, as Neil Young said, "A Kinder, Gentler Machine gun Hand".
zzzzzzzzzzz $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzz $$$$$$$$$$$ zzzzzz Whatever you want Dale $$$$$$$$$ zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The Lynch Mob will fight to the bitter end. Anything to not have to go back to work full time.
It must be tough to have no say and no power to really do anything. Where is Carmel? Defede is about to drop dead. The articles about Gelin are drying up. Looks like JAAB's 15 mins is about up. JAAB didnt even support a Chief Judge candidate, its easy to be critical, but make a stand on something.
The Chief Judge race will come and go. Dale will be in a Division. Eventually all the bad stuff will fade to black and everyone on here will continue to cry.
Golden rule, he with the gold rules, and no one on this Blog has any gold.
No, but what they have, gold cant buy you
well the blog must be doing some good. got people trying to stop it and complain about it and tell every one ur wasting ur time. keep up the good wrk bill
praise from the crackpot david lindsey that sums up how pathetic this blog is
"they" have the power to get reelected and the power to run the chief judge election any way they want....may not be gold but good enough
Complain about the blog all you like, it brought down Dale Ross! YEAAAAAAAAAH
I suspect those who dish the blog are the pathetic judges who get slammed by the blog. Just imagine Lynch, Speckler, or Ross, sitting at thier computer saying: I'll show them a thing or two, and type in some comment about how worthless the blog is. These morons with black robes are nothing more than childish bullies.
Here's a Lennon song you can sing in the shower:
Jealous Guy
I was dreaming of the past.
And my heart was beating fast,
I began to lose control,
I began to lose control,
I didn't mean to hurt you,
I'm sorry that I mad you cry,
I didn't want to hurt you,
I'm just a jealous guy,
I was feeling insecure,
You night not love me any more,
I was shivering inside,
I was shivering inside,
I was trying to catch your eyes,
Thought that you were trying to hide,
I was swallowing my pain,
I was swallowing my pain.
The Faces also did a great cover version, highly recommended!
thanks for the compliment from gutless, i think somewhere in my back ground i have a medal of honor all u have is ur chicken feathers.
took ross out? he is still a judge with a division and elected until 2012. if lynch wins you will all say its more of the same, no change there. spechler and green are still on the bench. so again what has been accomplished? at best musical chairs. new boss same as the old one hahahahah.
Hey, man; Nothing ever happened to these clowns until this blog came around. Sounds like a few over jealous people out there. Get your own boys.
ANyway, there sounds like allot more to come! Keep your eyes open.
Ross took Ross out.
?
In my opinion, Ross took Ross out for self preservation and tranquility after constantly having his actions dissected for all to comment, by this blog and the intense media spotlight that followed....
Some observations from an infrequent visitor: Why is it that I can not write on this blog from my computer in the courthouse? Is JAABlog really interested in hearing from judges and prosecutors? From the little I've seen and know, it doesn't appear so.
I think it's a healthy thing that lawyers run against sitting judges. I think it's a sad thing when a lawyer (now a judge), Terri Ann Miller, runs against an extremely qualified sitting judge, Steve DeLuca, solely for ethnic reasons, i.e. she's Jewish and he has an obvious Italian last name. I don't think race, gender, creed, nationality or sexual orientation should be considered in determining who would make a better judge. I think JAAB should find someone qualified with $200,000 and help them run against Judge Miller.
I was told that many years ago a drug intoxicated Howard Finkelstein crashed into a Plantation police car. Inside his car were numerous trafficking amounts of drugs. He got a huge break and a second chance from the prosecutor. Does he afford that second chance to judges, prosecutors, lawyers in his office and public defender clients? I've been around the Broward Courthouse for almost 20 years. I know a lot of good stories. I have a lot more to write about, about judges, prosecutors, public defenders and private attorneys. I must warn you. I'm not here to disparage or judge any. My creed is, do the right thing. I've been doing that all my life. I really hope my comments make it on to JAABlog. They will one way or another.
i hope u tell us more truth about the court house. i hope the fbi investigation doesn't whimp out. korda and all of the deals he has made and the children he has sent to their doom. he and ross make me sick to my stomach. they have no honor just alligations of rape and the destruction of lives. we invaded the wrong country we should have invaded the broward court house to free the oppressed.
Howard is fair. Also the FBI investigation may be more widespread than originally thought.
Expose away, Jose--these aenerobes can't stand the light of day and if you are really concerned about "doing the right thing"--then let it out--let the offenders defend for a change.
