"The article cites the case of Robert J. Riley, a Grateful Dead fan known as “Mushroom Bob” who followed the band while selling LSD and other drugs to fellow “Deadheads.” Before his federal case, Riley had pleaded guilty to four charges involving small amounts of marijuana, hashish and amphetamines. So when convicted of conspiracy to distribute more than 10 grams of LSD, he received a mandatory life sentence without parole because he had three prior drug felony convictions."

Is Bogenschutz representing every alleged crook in town along with every errant judge? Man, he must be tired. Doesn't sound like Jenne is going to sidestep this issue though. Somebody told me Aleman is going to full blown trial before the JQC? Hope they make an example of her. This place needs some outside intervention for a real cleansing to take place.

Why does everyone get this but Satz?

Violent criminals walk out of Broward jails at an alarming rate. Prosecutors can't keep them there because they're underpaid, overworked, and sometimes not trained correctly to handle the big cases.

Violent crime rates rise unabated in Broward. Satz always lags behind the feds in corruption prosecutions of Broward officialdom and now he must follow them again and stop prosecuting jailhouse masturbation cases, duck killers, and drug residue.

If Mike Satz cannot protect the citizens of Broward from violent criminals than he should resign immediately and make way for a younger person who knows how to prioritize.

uh, drug crime is "real" crime, but that is a valid point. asa's are overwhelmed with nonsense cases that can be broken down or resolved easily in other jurisdictions, leaving time to focus on the worst offenders.

Of more interest is who's his replacement? I don't see any of the people jockeying for position as the next Sheriff. You can bet it won't be a judge because they wouldn't give up what they consider to be a sure thing for someone that would have to run for office. Although, a few of them may find themselves in that position soon anyway.
