Integrity....Humility....Wisdom....Knowledge The characteristics needed for a successful administration. The peoples' trust rests squarely on your shoulders and in the judges you lead. | ||

very good
Interesting comparison, but I don't think any of our petty judicial dictators were as smart as Nixon or Dean. Apathy was their biggest ally. No one cared as long as their pockets were full. It took the Fla. Legislature to bring their rein to an end. As soon as they couldn't control the cases going to their friends, kin and political supporters, it all fell in on them. Nobody liked the way they were running things, not least of which were a number of the other judges. The strange thing is that they still don't think they did anything wrong. They just got caught up in their own game, that's all.
Now just bust open the monopoly on judicial positions, toss out the bad ones, and encourage good people to run for the right reasons. That's the way to fight judicial corruption. We've got some good judges and some very bad ones that need to relearn what it's like to work for a living.
Please post the list of Judicial Terms for this circuit
Finally the new era begins. The former judicial admin. could not have fostered a worse scenario had it been created by fiction writers! The old admin. have a lot to answer for. Integrity should be the goal now.
I resent the comparison to President Nixon. This is an insult and completely inappropriate. Nixon was a very smart man.
I think the comparison is more to do with corruption and less smarts. Nobody has ever thought Ross was a smart man, just a big bad bully who didn't know when to quit or when too far was too far.
Integrity, Humility, Wisdom & Knowledge is just what we've been lacking in the Judicial Administration of this Circuit for the last 16 years. Hope the new administration will correct things.
segretti was a trickster and dirty deed person that did things on behalf of that administration. if you didnt agree, you became a segretti target
Funny picture of Tobin.
Makes me want a McDonalds burger:

and exactly How is Damoorgian part of the hope for the future? Sure he's been reversed on some big, key cases - but how does that help our circuit?
everyone gets a new chevy
great historical shot of woodward and bernstein watching the resignation of nixon.
Karma is a wonderful thing.
I hope lessons there have been learned, and the new roles some have received will help overcome the long time Broward scandals.
Maybe we'll be proud once again.
guess jaab nailed it again, damoorgian is part of the team as announced today by tobin. good work.
i doubt he will be here long, damoorgian probably will be sitting up in west palm beach
I think you're getting a little carried away. He's going to stay right here. We need all the good men we can get after 16 years of cronies and incompetence.
They've got to crawl out of quite a deep hole first. We've got allot of judges that can't work a full day to save their lives. Like the 5 empty courtrooms this afternoon. Court watch will have the numbers at the end of the week. Should be interesting and probably pretty predictable.
In a way I am so sorry Eli Williams is looking to go to BSO as the new Sheriff.
In my opinion he's one of the best this bench has and I hope he stays on in the circuit side.
On the other hand, BSO has too long been abused by insiders. Even King Nick blew it with the lavish stuff.
Like I said, Williams is a better prospect on the bench. Who knows? Time will tell.
He won't get it anyway. The man knows how blacks are treated on the streets. He would be real bad for the jail business since stop, search, and seizure laws would have to be respected to a greater degree than under Jenne.
I agree with your assessment. The man is the brightest light we have on the Broward bench with his mixture of intelligence and realism. Funny, he's a small town kid, yet he brings more big city intelligence to this place than all the transplanted New Yorkers we have here combined.
I'm glad he told that sham Ross diversity board to stick it too.
The architect of the takeover! Watch Out! Be careful what you wish for.
the brightest of the young judges on the bench and a future start by far is Michael Kaplan.
Williams didn't do a very good job on the sham known at one time as the Diversity Board. As a matter of fact, he did "Carry the white man's water" on that one at first. It took a little while for him to realize what was really going on and what NHI really meant. How bright can he be if that's the case?
He may not be that bright, but he's not stupid enough to give up a sure thing for something where he'd have to eventually run. He's not that brave. Can you imagine what he could do for minorities in this town if wasn't thinking of his pension? There are few Martin L. Kings in this world and too many that lack the strength of their convictions.
