"Jack Schramm Cox, Esq., Judge Dorian Damoorgian, Judge David Krathen, Judge Jorge Labarga
Judge Elizabeth Maass, Judge William L. Roby."

Krathen might vault from restraining orders to Palm Beach. What do they say about payback?
Milstein Bills $200,000 to stern and Birkhead. This is another one of Broward's dirty little secrets. Judges that appoint lawyer friends to become GAL's and then let them charge what ever amount of money they want. This practice is disgusting and one has to wonder if there is a kick-back to the judges.Since when are attorney's gualified to make any decisions about children that is not what they are schooled in. Beware of all paid GALS.
What's the big whoop? 200 grand for 3 weeks work. That's the Broward good 'ole way. Don't these morons from LA get it yet? You're in the jungle baby. Sorry, the bananna republic.
Lucky for Milstein. Sullivan and Zeidwig had to do next to nothing on close to 250 SPD's to collect that kind of money from Lucky Larry. Now Sullivan is a GM and Zeidwig, well I guess it doesn't matter anymore since Larry is no longer a judge and his daddy Howard Zeidwig is no longer his boss (or anyones, for that matter).
Funny that something as vapid as Ana Nicole's LA brand of stardom for nothing would be eclipsed wholesale by the emperor's of no shame or substance, the leaders and officials of Broward County!
Krathen's not going anywhere. That 4th DCA seat is going to Damorgian. I never trusted that guy. I could never understand the connection between Vic and Damorgian. What's Vic to do when he loses his wingman? Ana Gardiner? There's another one you can trust. Nothing's changing around here. Wait til you see the circuit appts. 2 political hacks.
Gardiner was appointed by Ross. Now the old guard is ostracizing her for working with Tobin. He'll have to get rid of her - they all ignore her and she's not tough enough to get anything done fore real. Besides, she's hoplessly compromised by her past indiscretions and her recent stupidity before the commission.
It's Labarga, unless Crist feels bad about this whole mess with DC covering for Turkey.

Hi Adjudicator. Welcome back, hope the ice cream social was swell. Still bitter no one from the Herald ever took the bait to go after zeidwig huh.
"Now the old guard is ostracizing her "
Hopefully the rumors are true about the feds finishing off the old guard once and for all. I heard it might be coming soon. We'll see. It sure would make it easier for Tobin if it really happens.
"While the Judges wont seal it JAAB will make sure you never see it"
Why would Jaab remove something if it is public record?
Ask Jeff he has removed public record case information many times before. You dont really think we get to see everything that gets posted. They remove stuff they dont like all the time.
Broward judges not following the rules? Then up the stakes and demand removal of judges for the unlawful sealing of court records. That'll get their attention and the practice will stop immediately. Allot of these cases involve personal matters involving the judges. Ask Tommy Lynch. Who do these people think they are?
Maybe Mike can get his lips stapled shut next time. You're really becoming tiring with all you're Boss Hog crap. Get back to blogger's addiction class as soon as possible and this time pay attention. You sound more foolish all the time.
They thought they were demigods. The last year has taught them a thing or two. That's what you get when you elevate a bunch of low rent lousy young lawyers to the bench.
Since John's land deal went south, he may become homeless and have to live "under the bridge".
Dito. Just shut up, can you?
Sorry, John. Now it's your turn to do magistrates.
big talk here maybe someone ought to tell the guy to his face to shut up.
Krathen can kiss it good bye. Never had a chance.
so when someone disagrees with you they must be silenced? isn't this the same allegations from the ross era. looks like jaab is no better then dale.
Aherd, you have a terminal case of herd mentality. Break from the pack already. They can't do anything more for you.
It's Damoorgian for certain. What's all the hoopla about?
Why not just create a full time (I know it doesn't hold well with the part time judges we have) Magistrate Position and give it to somebody who isn't afraid to put in a little work. Somebody like Judge Cowart. That would be poetic justice, don't you think? Or he and Spechler can share the responsibility better yet.
Judge Susan Greenhawt doesn't follow the rules. Not a surprise, did anyone notice the one of the lawyers in the case she sealed is Rae Chorowski. Judge Susan Greenhawt lives with and owns property with Rae Chorowski and has a mortgage from Moises Chorowski. Conflict of interest, anyone? Greenhawt's arrogance is deafening.
Anybody is better than Dale! Look what he's wrought.
Greenhawt is an esteemed member of the 17th Circuit Diversity Committee.
"What do you need Dale?" "When do you need it?"
Greenhawt is Grossman's crony. How's she for the definition of bureaucratic worthlessness?
What Diversity Committee? It was just set up to help save Charles Greene, and then lo and behold, Judge Williams resigned and it just went away. So much for any real concern about diversity issues on the bench. Not unexpected though. Tuck tail and disappear. Oh, I almost forgot, not before putting in for Sheriff.
Greenhawt and Aherd could be the new magistrate judges. The answer to Aherd's dreams come true.
What's it going to take to make these judges obey the law as far as sealing cases? Oh, here it comes ...
Remember Joe Varon? A really great man that taught the best of Broward.

Prima Facie: Theobald For Sheriff

When the Miami Herald published small bios on the nine guys -- and they're all guys -- vying for the Broward sheriff's job, a commenter wrote:
"A bunch of has-beens, failed private-practice legal hacks, and obscure bureaucrats living off the public purse...is this the best the Search Committee can do?????"
Seriously. Nick Navarro? They're going to foist 2 Live Crew's old nemesis on us? As if Broward isn't all ready enough of a national laughingstock.
I apply a process of elimination to the list. First, no one affiliated with BSO under Jenne should be considered. Sorry Thompson and Lamberti (though there is a Hollywood chief's position opening up for the latter). Certainly nobody ensconsed at the Broward County courthouse should stand a chance, so Elijah Williams and Peter Weinstein should keep their robes on.
Rick LeMack? Uh-uh. He came up in one of the most corrupt agencies around, H-wood PD. No chance. Also scratch off anybody who has never been a cop, to which we say sayonara to Udolf and Stermer (as if any intelligent person would ever consider a Weston commissioner for the job).
So that leaves us with Glenn Theobald (pictured above), who would be my pick from the motley list. He's a cop who knows the value of education and the law (having gotten his master's and law degree while serving on the Miami PD). From what I've seen, he has a great record in terms of community relations when he was running the Miami-Dade PD Intracoastal station. He's a Republican and you have to be pretty sure Crist is going to pick a GOPer. And most importantly he comes into the agency with a clean slate.
Yeah, he's our guy.
UPDATED: Apparently, Theobald lives in Pembroke Pines and enjoys a game of online poker every now and then (earnings are listed over $12,000). Hey, to survive in Broward you gotta be a gambler.
Now the gay newspaper is asking for Morton and Scheinberg to resign. Doesn't that seem a little harsh for what they did?
http://www.expressgaynews.com/2007/10-11/view/editorial/
Isn't Scheinberg the person Greenhawt sealed to protect his financial info?
Gardiner got in the judge biz as a family lawyer replacing Carney on the Crim Bensn and she was known as "stupid" back then. Within 6 months of her reign, she was pumping for an appellate seat on the 4th--totally lacking in ability, knowledge, integrity or anything other credentials except being Spanish and female. She was particularly taken 8nder the wing ot George Shahood her deliberately lert her breach her judicial duties to join Shahood in decisions while neglecting her trial court job--even when Shahood was hearing a motion for mandamus against Gardiner for refusing to do he lawful duties and to compel her to do it.
So one can ony guess what suck was really going on--maybe a little on the side for Larry Klein and Carole Taylor, too who assisted along with complicity with then 4th DCA CJ Martha Warner and Dale Ross.
Now Ana's out of favor, or is the "por favor" and Ross is gone. "sort of"
They shoulkd all be in jail!!!
