Rots of luck. Cannot keep his own kid out of jail. A real shame - generally a good, decent, hard working guy. cops hate him.

Good P.I. with Shribes office years ago. Would always handle tough cases where african american clients were treated poorly. Good luck Carlton - do not expect any money from us.

Ok, so they dropped the Katz thing. So what's left -- Just the Gottlieb issue (which the 4th upheld her on as Gottlieb filed late) and the Raticoff/Perlman disqualification issue??

Looking more and more like a NG for J. Aleman or a reprimand at most.

Then again, the ADJ can come in to give character testimony and just turn the whole panel against her.

In a shocking turn of events, in the middle of testimony, Judge Aleman starting sniffing with that long pointy nose of hers, and demanded that a recess be called.

During the recess, while everyone was still in the gallery, she starting shouting that she smelled marijuana coming from the gallery. She started pointing to Sean Conway, who was happily munching the popcorn he had smuggled into the trial in his fanny pack/man purse.

Sean, looking surprised, responded my stating that the smell wasn't weed, it was the combination of his 100% imported Mexican Hemp suit and the hemp-extract bodywash he uses. Sean began making a lengthy diatribe about how it was organically grown hemp and that hemp was different from marijuana, citing Woody Harrselson as his source.

Not buying his argument, Judge Aleman demanded that Sean be taken into custody and immediately charged with possession of cannibis (more than 28g).

Since Judge Tobin was in the room, Aleman demanded that Tobin arraign Sean Conway immediately for possession. Conway objected to such a proceeding given that no information had been filed nor had he had a first appearance. Conway demanded that Tobin review the rules of criminal procedure and advise him of the basis for being charged by judicial decree and his immediate arriagnment.

Unfortunately, as First Lady DD wasn't in the room, there was nobody for Vic to task to read him the Rules of Criminal Procedure, and since he didn't have his pictoral version available, he proceeded to arraign Sean.

Finally looking up from his rhinestone-encrusted Palm Treo, which he had been using to submit random posts and to calendar numerous events that would occur "next week", the Adjudicator asked the person seated next to him what was going on. Jeff Ivashuk responded and told the Adjudicator what had occurred (and also asked what his lunch order was from Il Mulino).

The Adjudicator, hearing that Sean Conway was wearing a Mexican imported suit, immediately 911-texted the INS to come to Room 850 immediately to deport Mr. Conway to his home country south of the border.

After arraigning Mr. Conway, Judge Tobin assigned the case to Judge Gardiner, who was also sitting in the gallery. Gardiner, who hadn't had a tall blonde for a while, licked her lips and whispered to Conway that if he pled open immediately, she would send him to her "special" treatment program immediately in the hall closet on the 5th floor in the north wing.

At that moment, Judge Ross burst into the courtroom, wearing an apron and chef's hat, and announced that he had just finished with a batch of BBQ ribs and that they were for sale just outside the courtroom as soon as the lunch recess began.

SEEMS LIKE SOME INTERESTING HAPPENINGS GOING ON IN ROOM 850. Additional updates coming soon.

BREAKING NEWS: A settlement was reached a few moments ago between the JQC and Judge Aleman. Given the shortage of space in the courthouse (turns out Judge Gardiner was using the one spare closet), the JQC prosecutors, Judge Aleman, and Dave Bogenshutz were forced to sit together at a picnic bench hastily set up near the BBQ smoker Judge Ross was using to cook up his tasty ribs.

After finishing a half-rack of baby-backs, Judge Aleman exclaimed, "Jesus Dale, these are some damned good ribs...If you're going to keep making these on a regular basis now that you don't have your chiefly duties, I better find a way to stay on the bench."

Dale told her that he would at least be cooking for the next year and a half or until the CJ position opened up again from an early Vic Tobin resignation.

After hearing the good news, Judge Aleman agreed with to a reprimand and promised not to pick on Sconway any more. A greasy BBQ-saucey fingers stained stipulation is being circulated for final review as we speak.

    MORE NEWS AS IT COMES.
