WHAT: Broward County Bar Association Bench & Bar Luncheon honoring former Chief Judge Dale Ross, former Administrative Judge for the Circuit Civil Division Thomas Lynch IV, and former Administrative Judge for the County Courts Jay Spechler, for their service to Broward County.
WHERE: The Broward County Bar Association, 1051 Se 3rd Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
WHEN: Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 at 12:00 PM ($10.00, fee waived for Judges).

Let me get this right. They're being honored for having held back progress for the last 22 years, and for additionally having made the 17th Judicial Circuit the laughing stock of the State, or is it the Nation? Is there a plaque for something like that? I just want to make sure I have it right. The thing that stands out to me is that they all have "formers" preceeding their past administrative titles. What happened to "Former" Admin. Judge Gary Cowart?
I'll let you know what happens. This is a charade I wouldn't miss for anything. Pathetic is the first word that comes to mind. Hope they have liquor. I have a feeling I'll need it to keep from gagging.
Like little kids that when they didn't get Lynch in the chair folded their tents and resigned rather than face the music for in large part the problems they had created. Just what many expected came true. What did happen to Cowart in all this?

Anyway, for all the animosity between ADJ and the Cyberblob-Apologist (hereinafter referred to as the Apolo-Blob), wasn't it not too long ago that these two were thick as thieves together?? Wonder what happened to cause that duo to break up?
I always wondered why all the hate between Ahearn and the ADJ.
I remember many a Friday in MM Domestic Violence that Ahearn would always seem to come in near the end of the docket, and there would ALWAYS be at least one or two SPD appointments just waiting for him to scoop up.
Ahearn would have that S-Eating Smirk he seems to wear all the time when he'd stroll in. The ADJ would almost always stop the docket to have a quick conversation with Ahearn ending with "Say Hello to Richie for me."
Where'd all the love go between those two? Did it die with the ADJ's failed attempt to get to circuit?

or as 449 implies when judges need something like a little help with richie they encourage hacks to come around and give them treats...both sides are bad

I don't know who gave what to whom. my point was just that the judge who gave cases looking to curry favor with whoever richie was is just as bad as the political hack lawyer who mooched the work. all are bad.
