47 APPLICANTS FOR DAMOORGIAN'S SEAT
MESSAGE FROM RICHARD ZADEN, CHAIRPERSON OF THE 17th CIRCUIT JNC:
We'll meet for a first round of pre-interview deliberations on February 7. Interviewees will be
determined then. Interviews likely to be on Feb 12.
I invite anyone to direct comments on the applicants to my attention - or to any of the other
Judicial Nominating Commissioners for the Seventeenth Circuit. The other Commissioners are
Tim Bailey, Gina Pozzuoli, Michael Marcil, Clarence McKee, Walter Morgan, John Pisula,
Jamie Finizio-Bascombe, and Ileana Almeida.
The ethics, intellect, respectfulness, demeanor, propriety, fairness and ability of our
judges is vital to the dispensation of justice in our Circuit, and input from Bar members
and citizens with personal knowledge of the applicants is very important to the nomination process.
Thank you,
Richard J. Zaden, Esquire

Judge Lisa Porter
No brainer
Jim Wells, #46.....is that his applicant number or the number of times he has submitted his name without ever being sent to the governor for consideration.
not after two prosecutors last time
isnt aherd in the same office as Zaden. That piggie has his nose in everything around here.
Jim Wells has been to the gov before haters. Has Ken P.?
Few, if any, of the applicants possess the qualities and abilities necessary to join the ranks of Dale Ross, Larry Seidlin, and the rest of Broward's legendary old guard.
Thank God.
I think there were more than 60 last time - for 2 seats. 47 is a lot for one.
Which one of these 47 goofballs will become the next arrogant jerkoff overnight?
Only the Governator knows.....
lol, pretty funny stuff
Things that make you go Hummmmm wrote:
Why didn't the follwoing put in:
1. Mike Ahearn 2. Tim Donnelly 3. Jay Hurley 4. Oscar Gelpi
What others one would expect to put in didn't? Hummmmmmmmmmm
It's Stephanie Newman's turn
Beilly is a Greenhawt lacky
I like Katie McHugh, Chris Pole and Stephanie Newman.
All I have to do to remind me of just what it would be like to have Kenny Padowitz for judge is return to his personal website for a dose of reality that gives me the shivers. Stranger than fiction, and certainly more frightening.
Here's my prediction of the 6 to get out of committee:
1. Chris Nielson (BCBA pushing him)
2. Lisa Porter (female Matt Destry)
3. Stephanie Newman (Why I don't know; she hasn't distinguished herself in any way; I think hubby is big Republican and corrupt Satz and Co pushing her)
4. David Haimes (Fed connections; waaaaaaaay too inexperienced)
5. Tom Toper (Republican juice; Wills and trust who cares about wills and trusts)
6. William Haury (nice guy, civil)
What happened to Aherd the Swine Herder? It would have been a shoe in for the old boy. Another notable is Raag Singal. You boys had better stay brushed up on the ole rump kissing. You now how easy it is to fall out of favor with your heroes.
Haven't seen Singal in the courthouse in months. When's he gonna get it?
Lisa has distinguished herself. She's also smart and fair. I hope she wins.
Dear god, why would you put Fatboy as the #1 "hmmmm" on your list of people who didn't put in. For Christ's sake, the guy has done nothing with his career to distinguish himself besides sucking up to every jurist on the bench and hack politico in the county.
Maybe he even realizes that even if everyone he's washed the feet of tried their best, at most they could get him interviewed, but certainly not a finalist to Crist.
He should only be on a list of "hmmmmms" for people who don't put in for a GM position. His patrons MIGHT be able to swing him that crappy gig.
Ted Daus are you kidding me? Please. He would be a joke and just what this circuit DOES NOT need. I think everyone but Ted would agree. Does he want a job where he thinks laziness would be rewarded?
Beilly still hasn't changed her wicked ways and if she has anyone faked out just pick her and see what happens.
Out of that long list Brown, Sobo-Moselle, and Cobb would be your best choices. Those are 3 diverse choices with experience, great temperment, ethics, and would make great judges.
tip for katie mchugh: don't ask the jnc interview panel if they ever masturbated before. didn't work with the jury, won't work with the jnc either.
What happened to Klitsberg this time around? I was looking forward to the jokes this time around.
I agree with 7:38 am.
What happened to Sigrid McCawley?

LMAO
Someone called a candidate fat? Piggie? Or an almost candidate? Is that relevant? More importantly, right? Monkey jokes good. Piggie jokes bad.
Ted? What evidence do you have of any such thing? He's always been cooperative with most lawyers I know and does a hell of a lot of charity work with a meager salary. Perhaps you did not know that.
For years he has organized events for children with Cystic Fibrosis as well as philanthropic drives for fallen officers. But that would show some ASA's have bigger hearts than body size might indicate.
why?
I think Ted is a good ASA too.
308 aka ratboy, always out to protect his friends. Your cohort Aherd was called a piggie because he is one.
Isn't it time for you to get back to Bloggers Anonymous bring Cyberblob with you as you both need help.
Who is 3:08? If you're talking about 3:03, which I wrote, I was talking about Ted and no one else.
Thankfully you just proved a few points. One, obviously you snipe at people who are obese (which in either case would apply); two, you need an eye doc to see the difference between three and eight (3 8); three, see Judge Pinero's comment on cyber sniping from Rumpole (maybe Judge's would comment here if it weren't for folks like yourself); and lastly, your post is utterly devoid of any merit. It does not enlighten the debate on potential judges, you detract from the blog, and desperately need a lesson in math.
If you are talking to 3:03 then I must have missed something and tip my hat to you.
You said someone was called piggie look at 737 it was your buddy Aherd. Sorry about the time being off Advantage to you Roman.
