ANA GARDINER: RECKLESS DRIVER?
Chief Criminal Judge Ana GardinerBROWARD NEW TIMES:
"THERE GO DA JUDGE: DRIVING BLIND":
http://www.browardpalmbeach.com/2008-02-14/news/there-go-da-judge/
The collision left a mess on the back end of the Mercedes, with the bumper hanging loose, the left taillight smashed, and the exhaust pipe driven under the body. By the time Warhaftig and her husband, Allan, got there, though, the fleeing driver had returned. She was sitting in her BMW in a driveway next to the damaged Mercedes. It was Judge Ana Gardiner, chief judge of the criminal division of the Broward County Circuit Court...
When police arrived — summoned by a resident who had heard the crash and seen Gardiner subsequently "shooting down the street" — a group of people gathered around the damaged car. Among them were prominent Fort Lauderdale lawyer Howard Friedman, who lives on 25th Way, and another lawyer, who was watching the game at Friedman's house. According to the Warhaftigs, Friedman recognized Gardiner, telling neighbors, "I know what this is about."
Gardiner was probably checking up on "an ex-boyfriend" (the lawyer who was visiting Friedman's house), he alleged to neighbors. When someone stepped out of the house, she had apparently stepped on the gas so as not to be seen, Friedman remarked...
The Warhaftigs say that Friedman stepped in to assist the judge, and she quickly "lawyered up." Neither Gardiner nor Friedman responded to requests for comment.
The Warhaftigs say they're less angry about the accident than about Gardiner's muteness. My Warhaftig said she was also upset about Gardiner's recklessness in a residential neighborhood — "There were 50 kids there, running all over the place," says Warhaftig, the mother of two, "and she could easily have hit one of them" — as well as the suggestion from Friedman that the Warhaftigs themselves may have somehow been culpable."

I've heard a lot of stories about Gardiner. Now this. If any of the stories are true she should be removed by the JQC.
Karma Karma Karma Karma Chameleon
The fix is on. Why did it take so long for this to come out? Doesn't she have a pattern of this sort of behavior regarding boy friends and ex-boyfriends? Why wasn't she given a Breathalyzer? First her main political ally Jenne and then Gardiner herself falling victim to this? Guess this nixes the idea of her becoming a Federal Judge.
Whoops. Got caught this time! Another Broward Judge caught in the act.
She's lucky she didn't hit somebody. Can you imagine if it was anybody else what would have happened?
Was this really about an ex-boyfriend? Seems to me it should be easy to find out. Maybe it was a lawyer that appears before Gardiner. The article says it might have been a lawyer too. That has always been the rumor - that she has relationships with lawyers who appear before her in violation of the rules of ethics. The JQC or Tobin or Jaab should find out if this is what happened. Let's hope the rumors and stories through the years are not true. If they are, and this last one too, then the authorities need to help this woman who obviously can't control herself. Nothing less than the integrity of the judiciary is on the line.
Who was she spying on this time after maybe having a cocktail or two?
HEY, MAN, IT'S LONELY AT THE BOTTOM
Do you think she got special treatment from the police? Obviously they knew at the scene she was a judge. This should be investigated too. If any influence was applied then that is a real problem.
I wonder why the Sentinel and Herald didn't pick up on this?
They should just interview the usual suspects. Find out what Super Bowl party they were at and presto. Not like everyone doesn't know their names anyway.
Remember Joyce Julian?
"LONELY AT THE BOTTOM"
Only since the wheel started spinning.
Dear Jaab:
Here is your Valentine's present.
Love,

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE OLD TIME BROWARD JUDGES?
Like anything will happen. This is Buddy Boy Broward. It does seem highly questionable behavior though, especially for the Chief Criminal Judge.
READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE. IT GETS WORSE.
What would have happened if it was a young black male in that fancy neighborhood with the same set of facts?
Can you say mandatory prison time?
It would be more than a traffic infraction, I'm sure.
Might even get him to ROC Court with a judge who max's everybody out.
who would of thought Patanzo was worth stalking.
Like the Sentinel and the Herald would be interested in reporting the news. The don't want to offend their sources. This has been the problem for years. The printed media for the most part has a great deal of responsibility to bear for the state of Broward's Political and Judicial Problems. They don't really care about doing what's right, just what's politically correct. It's like the editors in both papers have no morals or something. Talk about pathetic. These are the newspapers we have down here.
It's been a crash comming for a while.
When a woman who has much to say says nothing, the silence can be deafening.
"Checking up on a ex-boy friend"? Which ex-boy friend is this? She was so busy checking up she ran into a car and then sped off? Weird. Sounds like the maturity level of a sixteen year old.
DAMAGE CONTROL TIME
when sprinkles points and talks, must always remember that three fingers are pointing back at you. whether in a meeting or not
a judge in a car accident is not newsworthy.
And this is a woman whose judgment is relied upon to decide the fate of countless hundreds of people who come before her and whose been made Chief of the Criminal Judges? There are many things that are very wrong with this picture regardless of how understanding you care to look at it. Very sad. If this had been an average Joe, I have no doubt that the circumstances following the incident would have turned out differently. The double standard is setting the worst possible example for Broward Residents.
Horrible behavior. Not becoming of a judge.
ANOTHER GOOFY BROWARD JUDGE PLAYING THE GAMES THEY LOVE TO PLAY. LUCKY NO ONE WAS HURT. THE COMMENTS MADE IN THE ARTICLE ARE VERY DISTURBING
Lady Justice is supposed to be blind folded, not Broward Judges. The most telling detail about this occurrence is that it's taken so long to break, and that the Sentinel and the Herald have remained as silent as Judge Gardiner on the subject.
Will the PDefender file a JQC complaint? Let's hope its not one of their lawyers.
I have been citing Gardiner's reckless disregard for the law, the rules of Court, the Judicial Canons; her on the record expressed intentional bias for the state prosecutors and many other things that totally disqualify he for judicial integrity, an this is just another thing--Remenber the Judge who on some judicial conclave in Tampa or somewhereon the west coast was caught naked and drunk and was JQCed for it? well Gardiner has had several complaints against her in the JQC about her illegal as well as unethical conduct and the JQC has ignored them--most notably complaint # 07-559 provinng her bias as well as her commission and conspiracy to commit felonies under cover of her robe they stated are really issues for the courts to fix, despite that fact that her conduct is whar committed and continued to commit those felonies. The JQC has declared that this conduct does not violate any Canons of Ethics.
So the real question is not--the JQC should act--it is why the JCQ hasn't done anything about her previously complained of illegal and felony conduct? What make her so immune? Why do her actions and systematic patern of legal abuse and criminal actions escape scrutiny and sanction and thereby allowing and condoning her continues similar conduct?
Maybe she'll just (PROFANITY DELETED) to get some more protection. Or similar offers to Backman who serves on the JQC so Backman will again assist her in her disgraceful, disgusting illegal judicial conduct and behavior and have the JQC dismiss any complaint as a party favor?
So don't expect the JQC to find anything wrong or unCanonical about Gardiner--she is one of those who has been designated "above the law" and under the protection of the JQC--that absurd agency will probably do what it usually does, so Gardiner is safe from removal--or presentment to the S. Ct and the House and Senate from impeachment for removal.
any more lawyer pigs want to attack me again for exposing Gardiner again?
My only question would be: "Which lawyer joke[s] aould you be?
actually it is statutorily defined as "stalking" FS 784.048
Ther real interesting question is: "What would thid chief Criminal Judge done to a defendant who came before her for what she did?"
By the way--was she cited for leaving the scene of an accident--a crime?
