Cohen gets an award for effective DUI prosecution? Him personally or the County lawyers? Isn't their conviction rate at trial like 25%? What gives?

Why is Broward County being left to the devices of these crooked politicians? This guy isn't even a resident of Fort Lauderdale? Why isn't the media doing what it's supposed to do to bring these matters to the attention of the voters? What the hell is going on in this town anyway?
This Seiler really thinks he's pulling the wool over the eyes of citizens of Fort Lauderdale by this manipulation? This is exactly what Fort Lauderdale does not need, another needy politician now that his term has as State Rep. I say we DO NOT NEED another guy like Jenne that thinks he can do whatever he wants while people remain occupied with paying their mortgages and worrying about putting gas in their cars to go to work. Let this politician get a job like everybody else and quit trying to worm his way into another position in a city in which he doesn't even reside. Out with the trash. That means you Jack!
Does this mean he doesn't qualify to run for Mayor of Fort Lauderdale? If it doesn't, it should. This is despicable behavior, even for a politician. Fort Lauderdale deserves better than this. Boot the guy!

Lee Cohen actually broke a case down last Friday for a guy named Terence Driscoll. Not sure why, may be he knows Satz some how. It is an older guy with a Palm Beach attorney, bad roadsides and he blew over, .082, .083. Would love for someone to look into it.
Lee went in did the plea himself and the case was first time up with no discovery having been done.
No wonder he's the way he is.
If you want to know why Lee Cohen broke down that case, just wait a little while and then do a public records request. Office policy requires a memo be done documenting the reason for the break down.

Probably a speedy issue.... no witness available...or breath test not working properly... do a records request and read the close-out memo. There will be a valid reason for the nol pros, I bet.

I went into Einstein Bagels Sunday and order a bagel with a smear of cream cheese. The wanted .99 for the bagel and 1.50 with cream cheese. When I went to pay the bill, the wanted 2.49 for the bagel with a smear of cream cheese. The 1.50 was for the smear of cream cheese without the bagel. What a ripoff. A container of cream cheese is 3.50. Buyer beware!

Jack is a typical politician. He is NOT a criminal like Jenne. These are differences of kind, not just degree.
Enough with the Jack bashing. He is an awesome politician. He is pro consumer. He takes no crap from big insurance and will not be pushed around by lobbyists or politicians. We should all support him. What is wrong with you jack asses? He is one of us.

Meanwhile in Naples, Circuit Judge Fred Hardt was caught making faces at the jury as a defense attorney gave an opening statement. The Judge eventually granted a mistrial, but somehow four minutes of tape recording the pertinent portion has been erased. The reporter responsible for the recording, a Ms. Rosemary Woods, has not commented on the "gap".

Rumpole suggests that the Judges in Naples get one of those fancy computer systems that our Judges have here. Then, instead of making faces, the Judges in Naples could do what our Judges do here- send emails to each other mocking the attorneys in their courtrooms.

Its one thing to go after public officials they are fair game its another to go after private lawyers like Ostrow or Scott Sherman who have done nothing to anyone

Ethically Finkelstein should be looked at, he is not allowed to hold a full time public defender's spot and be on as a paid position on tv. Is he equal to a Judge who is not and The State Atty. who is not, I say Mr. Satz should have his own 2 minutes on Channel 7, he looks and sounds a lot better than Finkelstein. Say no to Finkelstein, a Republican should run against Finkelstein
Concerned Citizen Where are the attorneys and Judges, why isn't there a request made to the ethics commission demanding an opinion from the FL Ethics Comm. that the Public Defender Finkelstein, cannot hold 2 jobs, that of a (Full Time Public Defender and then TV job) it is a clear violation of the ethical rules and the Florida Constitution also if someone files against him as a Republican Channel 7 under the FCC will require Channel 7 to take him off the air or give equal time to his opponent, and also is he breaking his law.
Michaelson are you going to do the research for finkelstein and the ethics comm after all it is part of television
