The last I heard Russ was trying to put together a file on O'Connor. What happened to that? What a waste of time this guy is. I don't even go to the meetings anymore. For what? So they can pretend they're doing something while all the while playing their separate games. I know what would happen if we ever had a president that took his responsibility seriously. Between that scenario and the PD they could clean up this town in a big hurry.
He actually has done something and will produce more results in addition to O'Connor being moved later this year.
Stop branding Russell with all the other do nothing BACDL presidents past sins. He's not like them.
Yeah, he's worse. He's had nothing to do with O'Connor being moved. That's already been in the works. But it's just like him to try to take credit for it though. Pathetic headline grabber.
Your wrong. Vic wasn't going to move her until BACDL weighed in. It's nothing when you have a bunch of anonymous cry babies carping about O'Connor, but it becomes a serious matter when an official organization weighs in and the president signs his name to it.

They have a right to cry now that their SPD slush fund has been taken away. Remember the old way to get ahead in Broward? Kiss butt, get loads of SPDs. Throw parties for judges, go to Vegas with them and pay for everything, babysit their kids, whatever to keep them coming. Make sure BACDL, the group that is supposed to stand up for defendants' rights, rubberstamped everything the judges want, ie keep the poor blacks going to prison at unprecedented rates quickly and efficiently, and without any backlash. Thank goodness those lousy SPDs are gone. IT WAS BLOOD MONEY

Gee, Russ: Everybody's been yelling about O'Connor since she first took the bench about how whacked out she is. You're just now trying to grandstand on that issue. Are you really that slow or do you just want to get your name in the newspapers again?
This has got to be a joke. The organization of the BACDL has never done nothing but suck up to the judges in hopes of getting some sort of recognition or as it used to be cases. That's why I don't belong to it anymore. If they really tried to do something to better he plight of our clients, that would be one thing.
All I've seen over the last ten years is one president after another trying to make political juice out of their position when none of them have ever done anything but kiss butt of the very judges they should be monitoring.
If this is some kind of a joke, it's not very humorous. Russell is just another one blowing it out his ... to make himself look important when he is really doing nothing but trying to get attention. It's too bad. Why would the meeting be the day after the elections is what I want to know if it's not political in nature as opposed to something substantive? If we had a real leader of the BACDL things could really change. I haven't seen one while I've been around.
I'm not Russell Williams. You can't stand it. He has taken a do nothing bunch of hacks and made real change. You should thank him after O'Connor is gone and you don't have to sit there for 3 hours while she backs up some stupid young prosecutor making retarded offers. Thank you Russell the giant killer. At least you had the courage to sign your name, unlike anyone here.
O'Connor's been headed out of criminal for quite some time and the other judges have been talking about there's no where to put her. Russell had nothing to do with it. It's not his style to do anything but kiss judicial butt. Just because he signed a complaint to Tobin doesn't mean anything. It was already in the works. He's not so bad. He and the BACDL have sat around while any number of judges have wrought injustice on our clients and done nothing. Full of hot air if you ask me.
I think I'll miss this one. Not that the drinks aren't good at Deb's place, but the company ... well. I like the Jib Room.
How is Gardiner coming along with the civil law studies? I heard she's packing on the pounds. Makes sense, like a freshman burning the midnight oil to keep up with organic chem.
