JNC SENDS SIX NAMES TO THE GOVERNOR
Why is this man smiling? Is the last seat already his?The JNC sent the following names up yesterday for Judge Zeidwig's seat:
1.) David Haimes, 2.) Michael Hursey, 3.) Kenneth Gillespie,
4.) Ed Merrigan, 5.) Barbara McCarthy, 6.) Raag Singhal.
These are the six names sent up for the previous seat (Andrews):
1.) David Haimes, 2.) Michael Hursey, 3.) Ken Gillespie,
4.) Christopher Pole, 5.) Barbara McCarthy, 6.) Raag Singhal.
The Governor currently has a short list before him for the Andrews seat:
1.) David Haimes, 2.) Michael Hursey, 3.) Ken Gillespie,
4.) Raag Singhal.

Hursey is on his way. Good choice.

Merrigan has juice in Tallahassee? I know he's mobbed up with the Seiler Zaden firm but why would the Gov care?
If you want to know why Merrigan's got juice in Tallahassee, try googling Jack Seiler and Charlie Crist. They were pretty close during his time in the house.
Whether it's this time around or for an open County seat -- start getting used to the words "Judge Merrigan".

Happens all the time. Judges are only interested in backing each other. If you're looking for judges who stand for diversity, look somewhere else.
There are some and though frustrated they continue in their attempts to improve and diversify Broward's bench.
No of these lawyers has any distiction or is knowns as a civil lawyer ..they are replacing Andrews whay should they be considered qualified..Mc Carthy is a right wing rat!

I heard every judge in Broward County campaigned against Ian Richards.
That maybe so, but it just goes to show you how someone with the courage of Ian Richards can set the rest of the judiciary to stampeding with terror. We need more people like Richards if the rotten fruit is ever to be shaken off the vine. We're going to see a few others do the same thing as he did pretty soon.
