Now Gary is assured of a recusal from Labarga which means all his cases will go to Canady and the Moral Majority judges.

Gary was right for trying though. It took courage to out Labarga when he went way over the line. Well done to Gary who always fights the good fight.

Kollin is twice the lawyer Labarga could hope to be. Got to give credit where credit is due. Kollin is your man for pushing the envelope on errant judges. And what would you expect as a outcome anyway?

Don't worry about Kollin. I'm sure Crist called him before making the appointment. They probably had a nice chat and worked through all of Kollin's concerns. Once Crist had Kollin's blessing for the appointment it was smooth sailing for Labarga.

I sincerely doubt that. Another political appointment. It's all about diversifying the bench you know.

Are Horowitz and Rosenberg back in contention for the 4th vacancy?

I need to know who to bring a shiny apple to on Monday.

Heck, I'll bring one to both.

Hey, Gary: Gotta give it to you. You hold these Porkers to the fire. It's the way it should be. Way too many brown nosers around here. At least you stand up for what you believe.

What was all the hoopla about in the first place?

If Crist wanted Labarga why didn't he appoint him to the Supreme Court in the first place? Instead he appoints him to the 4th, then wrangles around to get Jimenez's name in the mix, then goes back and gives it to Labarga? What's up with that?

Is it possible the media stink about Jimenez killed his chances? Is that what happened?

    The whole thing is weird.

I heard Labarga did a better Senor Wences imitation than Jimenez. That's what put him over the top with the Guv.

really bad for ALL of un, all of florida. this guy is an arrogant jerk, personifies the old boy network, the idea that he brings diversity is preposterous. utter nonsense. typical 1984, big brother disinformation to portray labarga as an example of difersification.

How does Labarga typify the old boy network?? I think Jorge is totally apolitical (yes of course he was picked to placate people who want diversity but don't hold that against him.)

If Crist had gone with Jimenez, there'd be exactly the same level of wailing and gnashing of teeth from you guys, just for supposedly different reasons. JAAB is so predictable it's ridiculous.

You can bet on that!It is funny that Gary is so concerned about how people conduct themselves---you know about people in glass houses etc
