Judge Larry Seidlin Slithers Away
"Roberts, who was once one of Seidlin's close friends, has always said that it was Seidlin's exploitation of the widow that prompted him to (very reluctantly) come forward. And the state's decision not to charge him on that score was what he found most disagreeable.
"He ingratiated himself to the widow and got everything he could from her," says Roberts. "He should have known better. This is a judge now. They're forwarding the case to the JQC and the Bar, but they'll do nothing. Not only is he going to get his $150,000 a year for life in pension but he's got a half million from the old lady. Good racket, huh?" ...
It all adds up to a huge joke -- and business as usual in our corrupt county.
"That's life, that's life in Broward County," says Roberts. "And you know what? If the guy ran for reelection, he'd be reelected."
Funny, no mention of Weissman/Vogel in the newsletter. Go figure.
This story about Larry Seidlin is absolutely GROSS. How sleezy can you get?
This is one of the most sorrid stories of a long list of Larry Seidlin's escapades with the fleecing of this old lady. It's really unbelievable. What kind of guy could this Seidlin be?
Poor Roberts, drinking again, no friends, no wife and no house. Gee I wonder why he is so bitter about everything. The guy had the world by the balls and blew it all.
The investigators cross-examined the woman over and over again. Have you ever considered that she loved Dax and his family and wanted to bless them with her wealth? Giveaways have occurred since time immemorial by the wealthy. Anna Nicole was a poor single mother and a stripper from the backwoods of Texas until she met billionaire J. Howard Marshall.
I love that the oath taken by the ASA's says they swear to uphold the Constitution. What a joke in that office. They take EVERYTHING to trial despite violations of the 4th and 5th Amendment, and would rather get a terrible case of herpes than break something down. Hypocrites!
The culture is so warped at the SAO.
They are trained to think like cops, not lawyers. Show no mercy to all the "dirtbags" even if you have to break rules to get them off the streets. They always have to back up the real cops too, even when they are obviously full of beans.
It's truly revolting to see how they besmirch the hard earned reps of good prosecutors everywhere.
It's inconceivable that this Seidlin character could have been a judge here for so long. Not only is he stupid, but he has always had his hand out. Only Dale Ross could have covered an protected this idiot for so long without this being detected. I'm sure glad Roberts finally blew the whistle on this clown.
There is no evidence that Roberts is drinking again after about 25 years without a drop.
Larry was a total jerk and everyone knows it.
Did you notice that Larry took the fifth? Why would an innocent judge refuse to clear this up unless he knew that they would not prosecute him for crimes that happened about 10 years ago.
Robert's has his finger on the pulse of the very problem that exists here in Broward. Can't fault him for telling the truth.
