BLOG WAR!

 Norm Kent dressed for battle

NORM KENT STARTS A KINDLER, GENTLER COURTHOUSE BLOG

Johnny Come Lately Kent was not allowed to run our blog, so he started his own!

From the new Broward County Courthouse Coalition Blog:

"As you read the comments on JAABLOG, unmoderated, anonymous, and flowing with venom and vitriol, you get a feeling that everything about our system is unclean, unhealthy and untoward. Quite to the contrary, many of the professionals who make up our courthouse community are dedicated public servants working against all odds to fashion out a life for themselves, personally and professionally, which is honorable and admirable."

The Broward County Courthouse Coalition Blog is the latest addition to Norm's cyber arsenal, joining Kent Vent, Norm Kent's Fantasy Baseball Report, National Gay News, and Kent & Cormican, P.A.  Comments are moderated, and will not post without registration, but that is where the dissimilarities to JAABLOG end (see the Tobin, Zack JNC, BACDL Meeting, and 4th DCA entries).

Let the games begin.

                            WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, BABY!

Ok, so Norma got pissy and quit the blog after the Powers that Be at JAABlog (One assumes Gelin, Seidashuk and Marshall) yanked some post by Norm about the model who is suing Google for blog posts.

Sorta sounds like what happened to Gelin last year, but Norma actually followed through and left to start his own blog.

And can someone explain how Norm quits Jaablog but still is the President of JAAB, Inc.?

He says they are two different entities, but are they REALLY 2 entities, or is this like Wrestling, where WWE Raw, Smackdown and ECW are all "separate companies" but they're all owned by Vince McMahon?

Then again, what's wrong with me for writing a post about Norm Kent that ends with an analogy to oiled men wearing skimpy tights.

This is absolutely hilarious! Is Kent still Gelin's attorney?

A diversity of view is always good, so best wishes to Norm.

That said, Jaablog wasted a wonderful opportunity to photoshop a picture of Norm onto Rick Moranis as Dark-Helmet

So Pee Wee Kent strikes yet again? Hope it has more success than his other quasi media ventures. Take your buddy Jack along for a ride, will ya? Lame is the word that comes to mind upon first inspection.

I wondered about that too. Don't change anything. I don't read this blog because it's kind and gentle. It's the only real unfiltered news I get.

I will always love you Norm but you have always been a jump on the bandwagon type.

Jaab can be hurtful and cruel. You are not wrong in your submission. But what these people have done took courage and has borne results. Are you saying the changes in leadership are a bad thing? The Norm Kent I know would not say as much.

I think many of our generation have been hurt. I think most of us are appalled at the speed of the changes. I think we all see our careers and younger days in the rear view mirror. We don't like it.

Many of us are ashamed to have kept silent. We accepted and condoned very bad things. It was good for business, yours included.

The years have shown there is no glory you will not claim for your own. Yet yours is a good heart. You always do right in the end.

Protect that which is truly important. Your true friends will understand in the end.

New leaf the same as old leaf. Nobody cares about the attention you crave or your opinion about the courthouse crowd except maybe Norman. He must have received some negative feedback about his extra nasty Kaplan Report. That's all it takes and it's off to the races in the opposite direction from where he started.

    Good for Norm.

JAAB screwed him by removing an insightful and relevant article he wrote about the legal risks of anonymous blog posting.

Then, each of the three people with editorial control denied doing it and pointed at each other. Pretty lame, guys. At least have the cajones to man up to it.

I don't blame him for starting his own blog where at least the things he publishes won't get arbitrarily removed if one of the "almighty three" get their panties in a wad over it.

    Good luck, Norm.

To Judge Bober and anyone else who plans to run for Judge with JAAB/Kulik "support":

I hope you all see from the hatchet job now being done to Norm Kent, who was representing Gelin pro se in his bar troubles caused by Jack Thompson, and who reinstated JAAB, Inc., became its president and registered agent, etc., that the love of the "Big 3" at JAAB is fleeting.

They're your best friends when you support them unconditionally, but if you EVER cross them, they'll try to smear and bury you.

What did Norm Kent do to deserve the video, the Satz front page picture with him, the "catcher" picture (well, maybe that has to do more with Norm's fantasy league than his personal habits)?

JAAB has done this before when "friends" have gone against them.

Remember last year when Gelin quit the blog for a few days after the "powers that be" (e.g., Ivashuk and Marshall) took down his comment about the fact that Levenson was part of a "new breed" of better judges and his "wide receiver/tight end" comment was poor judgment but not something to crucify Levenson over.

Remember when this blog used to have posts written by "REAL PEOPLE" using "THEIR REAL NAMES"????

I remember articles and responses expressing opinions and which were pretty funny.

But when those articles too strongly disagreed with the Head Jaabers in charge, the authors got slammed, had mock pictures put up about them on the front page (remember the Ratboy photos and the nazi pictures for example???), etc.

So for those that will fall in with Kulik and the head JAABers to support their candidacies, just remember that when you cross them, expect to be nailed to the cross by them.

I wonder what happens the first time that one of the JAAB/Kulik judges decides to deny a Motion for Downward Departure/Drug Offender Probation for one of Gelin's clients?????

    Let the games begin.
