NOW YOU GOT NOTHING
At least this guy still has a briefcaseJack Thompson is hereby banned from JAABLOG. His IP Address has been blocked. His posts under JAABLOG WELCOME made today, January 21st, have been removed. Any additional IP Addresses utilized by Thompson will be blocked, and subsequent posts will be removed at our earliest convenience.
Jack, you disappoint us. You do not, however, surprise us. We had a deal, and you broke it. Some called us silly for even trying, and you validated their position.
While being banned from JAABLOG hardly ranks with your permanent disbarment for dishonesty and all around general stupidity, we do still feel for you. May we make a suggestion? Why not visit your old friend Norm Kent at his newly created Broward County Courthouse Coalition Blog? He's working double overtime copying our posts (and apparently applying fake timestamps to some to make it appear he beat us to the punch), and could use the support of an old friend such as yourself. If you do look him up, don't forget to say "hello" for us.
So long Jackie Boy. It was fun while it lasted.
(Thanks to "Norm is pathetic" under "Fieger Should Have Said "Dictatorially")

Own3d! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
From us readers we say "Told You"... you was correct in banning him.
I'm going to sound like a broken record if I say Good Riddance again...
That said, I will say that for me something good has come out of this, since, despite the lack of Thompson, I've actually developed quite an interest in this blog and hope to hang around and maybe try to contribute to some of the more measured topics, I can't comment on local issues to well, since I'm not local, but some of the larger themes have actually promoted some quite interesting discussions
One word, and one word only.
Pwned.
If you ever read this, Jack, go here.

Your crusade is falling apart at the seams, Jack. Admit it. You are finished.
It's a shame. I never agreed with banning anyone. But as I've said, it ain't my house.
What's sad is this is just like the Florida Supreme Court.
He wasn't outright censored from speaking at all. He was told he could speak in a specific area (in the case of the FLSC, he just had to have an attorney sign his docs).
The First Amendment, that regarding Freedom Of Speech, was upheld. He wasn't silenced, merely limited in location.
And yet, he still won't take responsibility for his actions. It's everyone else's fault.
Anyway, I'll still poke my nose in here. A number of the articles still interest me. And the pictures used for the Welcome article are especially enjoyable (most notably the wet t-shirt contest and the "Godless" advertising woman
Andrew
Now Jaab is the same as The Supreme Court. Jack can't file motions or post comments in either place. Too funny.
Mm! Damn fine job, JAABlog.
This is almost as good as watching JT's disbarment trial play out, or watching Obama's Inauguration live.
...Damn fine job...
I wonder if he still feels like Martin Luther King, Jr., standing up against oppressive rules. Yeah, King stood up against minorities being treated as 3rd class citizens. Jack just wants to spew his bile wherever he chooses. I can see the comparison there. (Note, last sentence was "sarcasm.")
Jack, grow up and get a life.
Thank God for some relief. Jumpin Jack can now go visit Stormen Norman. Too bad the guy can't behave himself for nothin.
I wanted you to ban me and you are too stupid to know why! Hooah!!!!!
I have considerable doubts that is Thompson, since admitting that would really be the dumbest thing he could possibly do, soliciting a banning makes even the few feeble arguments he could make totally null and void
Would be funny if it was though, wouldn't it?
'I tried so hard to get banned, and then they went and banned me!'
Coming Soon! To a Starbucks near you!
"Jack Thompson and his quest for a free WiFi IP address to bogart"
I get the feeling of Sage from GamePolitics.* GP regulars will know him. The guy wants to become an hero like Derovius (a Troll that supposedly got the BanHammer recently), his idol.
Earlier today, he talked about playing "stickball" (which I assume is either baseball or softball, but IDK) with Dero and Jack. I think he might be fucked up in the head.
* http://www.gamepolitics.com/
@12:31 Stickball is neither, its a street game and can be played with three people. The bat is similar to a broomstick, the ball is a Spauldine (pink rubber ball). There is no catcher - the strike zone is spray painted on a brick wall (usually on your school) so the ball, if not hit, goes back to the pitcher. If the ball is hit, the distance gives you bases or a home run (usually measured by parked cars, fire hydrants, trees or lampposts), unless caught by the fielder for an out. Three strikes are the same but you can be called out for too many balls - you gotta swing at some point - not for sissys. The game usually ended when the
batter split the 39 cent Spauldine from hitting it too hard (or a fight over the strike zone or landmark). Good times
(***small nostalgic emotional moment***)
The sad thing is, that above post is something that he'd actually say.
Well, something to that affect anyway. I'm personally fond of "Just as planned" and "I've got them right where i want them"
"I wanted you to ban me and you are too stupid to know why! Hooah!!!!!"
Such a sneaky boy Jack...cheeky monkey...
Moron
Since he is probably going to use the banning as an example of how jaablog is 'moderated' in a way that makes it libel in defaming judges, I would not be surprised if it was him and he felt that he had jaablog 'right where he wants them'.
His argument will go that since jaablog can (and does) ban users, by not banning people who say objectionable things about judges they are aiding those lawyers and thus risk sanction themselves.
Heh, that would be an argument if he'd been banned for the content of his posts, rather than his posting behaviour.
I used to repeatedly reply to him that 'It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it'.
We may not have liked the content of his posts, but that wasn't Jaablogs problem with him, I don't think that ever really got through his skull.
Why do I get visions of Jack refusing to accept that he was out, claiming it as a victory, threatening to take his opponent to court in order to destroy them and then, eventually, flailing around ineffectually with the stick?
some people just never learn!
There is a mindset where a person believes themself to be so morally good that any criticism they receive is, to them, just further evidence of the truth of their beliefs. They think the reason they are being "attacked" (as they invariably perceive disagreement) is because the "attackers" are the "wicked" who are simply offended by their higher values.
Such a person relishes in having agitated people, and then sees himself as a hero in some noble undertaking that causes "bad" people to recoil from their pious message. Criticism becomes affirmation. Strong criticism becomes a toasty warm blanket of absolute moral and intellectual supremacy.
I think perhaps this could become addictive. That is, a person who derives pleasure from feeling they are superior, and who feels the most superior when they are getting other people upset, may find themselves doing ever increasingly outrageous things, and more frequently, to get their "fix" from feeling that all the "sinners" were sufficiently displeased with them that day.
It is, it seems, no longer enough to have an opinion, or to argue a position, or even to be mildly insulting and condescending. Unless the statements are so over the top, so vile, so indefensible, that they rile up lots of people, perhaps it just doesn't produce that dopamine rush of moral superiority anymore?
Welcome to the club.
Well, I never said it was a good or accurate argument ^_~ but I am guessing that such is his thought process. Though with yet another bog down I wonder where he will post his ramblings for the public to see.... since he never does anything legal his only outlet is lots of eyeballs.
And there was much rejoicing.
So Jack, in the immortal of another great jurist (Judge Smails from Caddyshack), "you'll get nothing AND LIKE IT."
It's a sad day for all of us who like to laugh at Jack's vicious, illogical spewing of hate-filled and biased bile. Where, now, can we go to read his diatribes? He's incapable of making his own blog, as we all know, so what can we do?
Can anyone help me find a site where Jack isn't banned?
A short, and probably incomplete list of places Jack Thompson has been banned from posting (presented purely for information and hilarity). If you know of one I don't, reply and add it on.
JAABlog (of course)
Justice Building Blog (I think)
www.gamepolitics.com
www.freerepublic.com
Jack, the only common factor in all your failures is you.
I think he might be banned from Kotaku and Joystiq also. I haven't seen an official notice regarding this, but I haven't seen him post there in a while and I can't imagine him having the self-control to stop posting on his own.
Norm Kent is a joke!
Just a warning, Thompson seems to have got himself a new IP address, since he's spamming under a false name on GamePolitics at the moment, so keep 'em peeled.
