  Building engineers say two main things about the main/old wing:
  1. It was a patch-work build originally and it was done on the cheap. When it was originally built, the architects and engineers in the late 50s and early sixties built the building to last about 50 years (its 2009 now...).
  2. The main/old wing was built so cheap 50 years ago that they knew then (and they know now!) that a CAT. 3 blows it away.
  One more thing (which should be common sense to you) it that repairing and fixing a dump which has come to the end of its kife expectency is a gigantic waste of taxpayers' money.
