The paper said the State Attorney's Office offered the plea was with "victim approval"....but then the victim said she wished it was harsher? So what exactly was the 'victim approval.'

This would have been prison followed by 10 years probation if it was an SBU case.

....or a PD case. We get no love. Money walks, talks, and gets you probation when the victim wanted more (or agrees with the sentence, or gives a press conference crying....)

Yes- sbu would give a harsher sentence. That unit is not scared of any particular defense attorney, or trials for that matter. It's a shame sbu didn't get it.

This Grady affair is weirder than weird. Makes you feel real safe if you're a woman and pulled over by a cop for a traffic infraction. Maybe Seiler Smiler has something with this idea about installing cameras in every cop car.

This was NOT a Seigal plea! This was a special prosecutions plea

A Dennis Siegel plea for two counts of Armed Sex Batt would be more like 30 years followed by probation for life, which is exactly what Grady should've been looking at.

7:42, as noted above, SPU rather than SBU plead this case. Since the IA reports aren't in the court file, we also don't know if it was originally presented to the SAO as a felony or a misdemeanor.

SBU should have been involved in this case. If this were anyone other John Doe, he'd be registering as a sex offender come Monday morning.

If the STATE filed a Williams Rule Notice on State v. Grady would not certain breasts be subject to listing as trial exhibits?
Think about the possibilities on that one...

What did Grady do that was so wrong. Cops put thier lives on the line for you every day so let us do our jobs with benefits. If Satz had any real balls, he would have charged both alleged victims win bat leo and resisting with violence by trying to give Grady a bust in the mouth.
