Broward sheriff's deputy Charles Grady kept badge, job despite repeated complaints from women

In November 1999, a stripper said Grady slammed her against his cruiser, promised to give her "something to cry about," and later hog-tied her and pepper-sprayed her in the face.
Six days later, another woman accused of causing a road accident complained that while she was hospitalized with a resulting concussion, lacerated liver, broken pelvis, hip and clavicle, Grady came to her hospital room, threatened to take her drivers license away for life if she didn't provide a blood sample and called her "a f---ing drunk, a f---ing whore, and a f---ing liar." ...
At the plea hearing held for Grady last month, it emerged that as part of the negotiated deal that got him to relinquish his law-enforcement certification, prosecutors agreed not to pursue an alleged case of felony armed sexual battery against him.
According to court records, a stripper said that last Oct. 2, Grady stopped her on her way home from her job at a Fort Lauderdale club, forced her to perform oral sex at gunpoint and threatened to kill her if she told...
Prosecutor David Schulson insisted Grady received no special treatment because he was a sheriff's deputy, and said the stripper's complaint would not have held up in court because "there was no independent evidence supporting [the victim's] allegations, forensic or otherwise."

Ritter violate campaign laws? Browierd is really the weirdest county in South Florida stacked with the corrupt all beholding to their contributors. Look what she's voted on since being in office and trace her contributors to catch the perpetrator. Bingo.

So let me get this straight.....according to the infinite wisdom of David Shulson, Grady skates from an agg assault firearm, kidnapping/sex batt, becuase, "other than the victim's statement, there is no corroborating forensic or otherwise evidence?" So, I guess if a black male from the hood were similiarly accussed, the state wouldnt prosecute absent the existence of independant evidence? Was the victim in Grady polygraphed? Did Grady provide an alibi? What a crock of s*** to even suggest the reasons for Grady's escape is Shulson's lame and transparent attempt at an explanaton!! Yet, just another example of Broward County justice at its finest!
The "Wiliams Rule" does not apply to cops. That was one fraudulent illegal portion of one of Ana Gardiner's rulings which was PCA'd by the 4th. Gardiner declared that any of this evidence is simply inadmissable regardless of what the the Williams Rule says ands the statutory parallel state and fedral Rules of Evidence ragarding habit and pattern evidence of a cops violence just like no Broward court would allow Willims Rule evidence in prosecuting Satz for all his 777.03 and 777.04 violations of the all the cop's felonies he covers up.
And some people think Sotomayer is NOT going to legislate from the bench if confirmed and swears the oath not to and to respect the other branch of government; and to abide by the Canons like 2A and 3B(2) in order to Canon 1--"uphold the integrity and independence of the judiciary which "independence" is declared not being allowed to disregard the law--but "comply with it".
