The Right Time – A Better Broward
I grew up in Broward County, moving to Coral Springs with my family at the age of 10 in 1984, graduating from JP Taravella High School in 1992. After attending college and law school in New England, I returned to Broward County to make it my home with my wife in 1999. My daughter is going to be starting public school in the same neighborhoods I grew up in. This community has been my home for 25 years and is where we are raising our family.
I have been a practicing litigator since 2000, and for the past 4 years have been Vice President – Litigation Counsel for Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, the largest residential real estate brokerage firm in Florida, handling hundreds of civil and commercial litigation matters in courts from the Panhandle to Miami-Dade County; many here in Broward.
This is the right time for me to leave that practice behind and help make a better Broward. I believe I can do that as our next Broward County Court Judge in Group 26. If elected, I can commit to being a full-time judge that respects and follows the law, treats all people with the dignity that they deserve, and will ensure that everyone that appears in our Courthouse has their voice heard and their thoughts considered.
Given everything occurring in this County, it is also the right time to try to change how campaigns can be run. One thing that I will not do, either in this campaign or if I am privileged enough to be elected, is bring any appearance of conflict or bias. The Courthouse belongs to all of the people of this community.
Because of this, while there are a number of attorney friends and colleagues who I know support me in this campaign, I will not accept any campaign contributions from any attorney who has appeared in Broward County Court in the past year or from any bail-bonds company or organization. Similarly, I will not ask any attorney to act as my campaign treasurer or manager. I make no judgment on those candidates who choose to do otherwise. I have immense respect for my colleagues and their right to give contributions to the candidates they support (I have done so myself on a number of occasions). For me, this is about it being the right time to try a new way – a new perspective and attitude – and making this a better Broward.
While this decision may cost me contributions, I plan to bridge the gap by walking this County and talking with as many voters as I can. Over the next several weeks, our campaign will be promoting several events where I hope you will come and meet with me, my family and friends, and we can talk about what we want to see in our community and our Courthouse.

The holidays came early for Jeff Backman this year. No way Mardi doesnt jump into this race. She has more campaign experience then these three combined. Being a jewish female dont hurt either.
Absent a mom on the ballot, I would vote for Nate because he is a family man who is raising children in this community.
at the very least, seidman will have to deal with a runoff...it's going to be a very looooooong 2010.
Seidman is on the bottom of the ballot, he will be lucky if he gets a runoff. Remember, as Pedro or Julio, there is no I next to his name for Incumbent on the ballot.
Nate is a good guy, best of luck. You have my vote just because I dont have to give you a dime.

Its will probably be the end of you Nate, but good job calling out the hypocracy of the judicial campaign contribution and treasurer system. How can Judge Seidman hear cases with his Treasurer Kulik as the Defense attorney. How can Judges represented by Bogenschutz in various matters still allow him to come before him.
