Heidi Berkowitz has filed to run against John Fry and Judge Linda Pratt for county court.
Laura Seidman has filed against Judge Lisa Porter for circuit court.

(Smith and Thurston) said there wouldn’t be a need for an inspector general if State Attorney Mike Satz was willing to devote attention and resources to investigating public corruption.
“I want the state attorney to do his damn job,” Smith said.
Thurston said it’s a bad idea to create what he believes is an expensive new bureaucracy to duplicate what he thinks Satz should be doing. “The state attorney has the staff. The state attorney has qualified people,” he said.

Satz rejected the criticism (by Smith and Thurston). “They have never said anything to me about that,” he said. “I disagree with their comments.”
“We have five very experienced with a tremendous amount of experience doing public corruption,” he said.

I can't help but find this whole thing throughly predictable. Lots of meds will now be needed to even get the judges to come to work. And more meds to keep them up campaigning at night. The party is definitely over.
Guess Seidman meant what he said about if he got opposition he was going to make a few people's lives unbearable. It can only lead to better than what we've got. This Judge Porter had better figure out her exit strategy.

How many Judges lost in a contested race during Dale's 18 years, 1 (Julian and despite it all she barely lost). How many Judge's lost their jobs since Vic 3 and counting. Dale may have been a prick to many but at the end of the day he knew how to protect his Judges. For all those who voted for Vic stand up and be proud and show off that target on your back.
How quickly you think Pratt is going to get Ahearn on the phone to get him to deliver that special package to Heidi. Heidi is out by Easter.

Judge Porter is the best new judge Broward County has. She has an awesome judicial temperament and and makes excellent rulings. It was such a delight to have someone of her caliber appointed to the position. I am in the courthouse day in, and day out-and she brings some sanity to all of the madness. She is beloved by many attorneys and will whip Seidman's ass in an election!
