Arreaza is gonna file against one of his beloved and heretofore worshipfulnesses, when just over a year ago he was still definitely in their pockets and dead set and verbally opinionated against anyone having the audacity to run against a sitting judge?
My, how the filed widens and opinions change when ample opportunity arises.
Although I'm in favor of anyone who wishes to run against poorly performing and downright crooked sitting judges whom have for far too long thought they were invincible and hence untouchable; it certainly strains the confines of credulity to think that Arreaza can flip camps so quickly.
It's a funny thing how economics have a way of changing a person's mind and judicial philosophy.
It seems as though it's becoming rather infectious these days.
Why can't we have more candidates like Perlman with experience instead of these judicial opportunists who are only going to make things worse if that's possible?
I like the above Arreaza post at 10:23 because it points out that it's okay to run against judges that you think are doing a poor job. Running, however, just because your law practice SUCKS or because someone else is telling you to or because you think you have a better last name is just plain ridiculous and is just another example of why Broward's judiciary has its problems.
We need good, qualified judges - not attorneys who couldn't hack it as lawyers so they figure they'll try their hand at being judges so they have a paycheck. While there is nothing wrong with having judges elected (and in some cases can be good because it keeps judges in check to an extent), the election system is just as bad as the appointment system when there aren't qualified people running.
This blog keeps singing praises each time someone new files but how about we look at WHO that someone is, why they are running, and who they are running against. At the rate we are going with the unqualified masses that have thrown their names into the hat for these elections, the bench will be WORSE after these elections then ever before.

Rodriguez is the only one doing a good job as a judge. They could all learn how to run an efficient courtroom from him.
