The same kind of question was being asked last time, Who is Ian Richards?

He's Judge Ian Richards, that's who, and it's going to be Judge Jason Rosner too.

YEAH JASON! Your suppose to put in four or five at the SAO and during your off time kiss ass with the good-ole-boy/girl network. Then, practice some variety of corporate kiss-ass law for another 7-10 years while slowly parlaying good-ole-boy/girl ass kissing into political capital. Then, wait for retirement from bench and start making calls to people with connections to determine if you've built up enough "juice" and satisfactorily waited your turn.

Then, if the stars are aligned, voilĂ , now you're part of the good-ole-boy/girl network. Then, you can quickly advance to being a completely self-important, self-centered, holier-than-thou windbag the every lawyer who appears in front of you despises and makes jokes about what a sorry piece of shit you genuinely are. You'll know which ones they are because they'll call you judge instead of "Your Honor" because they know you are not honorable (and never will be).

I mean come on Jason GODDAMNIT, "Welcome to the Blog Jason" has been kissing ass and gargling sweaty ball sacks for probably more than ten years, who the hell do you think you are to potentially bypass all of his many, many, many hours of groveling and pretending to enjoy listening to ego maniacal blow hards who are three sheets to the wind at various bar and professional association functions.

Jason, you need to learn your station in life and not be so uncouth as to blatantly engage in judicial climbing without putting in the proper amount of time practicing the right kind of law and associating with the right kind of people - you know, ass-kissing sack garglers like "Welcome to the Blog Jason."

Then again, maybe "Welcome to the Blog Jason" better start practicing saying "Judge Rosner."

Or maybe its just not a good reason to run for judge just because:

    a. you've put in the bare minimum 5 years,
    b. never participated in any meaningful way in any social or civic organizations
    c. don't own a home in Broward County or have real ties here, and,
    d. are just another failing criminal defense practicioner

Hey, granted I know it worked out for Judge Ian, but just because work isn't as busy as you'd like it to be isn't a good enough reason to say Im gonna run for judge.

I agree. Whats with "I LUV COPS" Imperato, "Only Justice for vagina's" Greenhawt with no opponents. I am pretty sure most lawyers that tried cases in front of these judges know how bias they can be.

    Hey Or Maybe:

I am fairly certain you have no factual basis for those assumptions.

However, lets take the one by one, shall we?

Most of Broward County didn't seem to have a problem with a fresh young face on the electoral landscape in 2008. And by most of Broward I mean the 67% that voted for President Obama.

Also, at last check, Fort Lauderdale was in Broward County. They may have redrawn the lines in the past few minutes though, so maybe you're right. Also, assuming there is only one Jason Rosner from South Florida who went to Miami Law, graduated in 2003, and now has an office on St. Andrews Street in Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Rosner lived his almost his entire life in Coral Springs, which also, at last check, was in Broward County.

Hey, granted I know it worked out for Judge Ian, but just because work isn't as busy as you'd like it to be isn't a good enough reason to say Im gonna run for judge.

    OR PERHAPS:
    (A) there are numerous judges sitting on the bench in Broward (and throughout the country) who have been judges longer than Jason has practiced law and they're shit judges who are just assholes, burned out, incompetent, lazy, etc. and have zero business being on the bench. Anybody who has practiced law for more than a few years knows there are plenty of attorneys who have been practicing for only two or three years who could do a far better job on the bench than pieces of shit like Ana "is that a banana in your pants Mr. Prosecutor" Gardiner or Victor "could somebody from the BCBA please do something about that dang JAABlog" Tobin.

( "Meaningful" participation in "any" social or civic organization seems to be the corporate shill attorneys' modern equivalent of purchasing a dispensation from the Pope or being "born again" by being dipped in the Baptismal tank. However, no matter how hard you try, doing good deeds will never wash away the stench if your full-time job is being a corporate shitbag screwing over those who are powerless (not all corporate/BigLaw attorneys fall into this category, but plenty do). Being a great judge and participating in "any meaningful way in any social or civic organizations" have ZERO to do with each other - if they did they'd be a requirement to qualify to run for election.

    (C) Since when did home ownership become a prerequisite to being elected as a Judge. I don't see that listed in among the list of qualifying factors - did you? NO, you didn't, your just being a douche desperately pulling ideas out of your ass because you realize that the status quo in the Broward Court system is about to get nuked because one criminal defense attorney had/has the stones to create a blog and expose the shenanigans of all you corrupt pieces of shit. Adios MFers! ;-}

    (D) It's hilarious to listen to some of you oh-so-smug civil attorneys who crow about your income yet in most cases did not do shit to actually build a powerhouse firm but were instead brought on as 100+ hours/week associates with hopes that if you kiss enough partner ass and somehow manage to muddle through with the relatively unlimited resources placed at your disposal you'll make partner.

Hey, granted I know your "juice" is about to be dehydrated when most/all of your sorry ass crony pals get sent packing off the bench, but that's not a good enough reason for Jason not to run.

Start practicing it bitch: "Judge Rosner."
