Poor Paul, all the backs you stabbed to get everything you wanted over the years, yet you cant even get Jeffy and Arlene out of the starting gate.

Poor Weinstien, how pathetic do you look to go as far as to tell everyone the current open seat is going to be a Juvi seat and coincidentially you put Arlene in juvi as an acting Circuit Juvi Judge, all for nothing.

Not to mention the bad blood created by passing over more qualifed County Court Judges to be an acting Circuit Judge. None of the Judges are going to forget the blatant favortism of this move anytime soon.

Kudos to the JNC to standing up to Backman and Weinstien and picking the best 6 to go up as opposed to putting up a Judge who was was less qualifed but the obvious preference of the CJ.

Do you think that the liberal democrat former State Senator Chief Judge has sway with uber Republican Gov? It is obvious to me that the Repubican JNC wasnt all that swayed by him why would the Gov?

I guess the sounds of sobbing and the later discovered wet spots on the floor by a table in the cafeteria today probably came from Uncle Paulie.

I hope the wet spots were from tears rather than the leaky adult diaper though.

It certainly wasn't from any "juice" that he (thought he) had left.

I think the JNC didn't pick Arline Backman because she has zero jury trial experience.
Weinstein's interference on her behalf has him with egg on his face.

Good for the JNC. Broward is already the nepotism capital of the world.

First Baby Back's stumble and embarrassing and unceremonious withdrawal and now Arline not being able to capitalize on Daddy Back's vastly reduced mojo? Backman's choice of Weinstein to lead his germ-worm bid for Arline just shows how out of touch he is with things. The two of them couldn't screw in a light bulb without help. One Biggie Coke please.

I hope that Judge Fry gets this position. Let someone with true intelligence who has actually worked hard to earn his position be appointed. Not impressed with the other picks, Broward County is a disgrace.

First Paulie trades in Ross for Tobin after professing the opposite to everyone in the infamous vote among the judges that reduced Ross to mud on the floor.
Then because he can't steer anymore business to Squeaky Baby Back after Prop 5, he runs the moron for judge, only once the heat starts to rise forces his own son to throw in the towel after calling in all his own chits which didn't amount to much.
    Now aint that fine?
Then after talking up the squash to Gardiner after she got her tweets caught in the ringer with the JQC disappears far into the back squash court when things turned ugly for her only to slip-slime his way back to try to get the little wifey elevated to circuit using Weinstein only to flop that ball big time?
Now where's the honor in all that?
He don't got donuts for balls. More like jelly beans, dude!

Backman's tale of betrayal and intrigue stretches way back. The only idiot that doesn't get it is him. They are onto him. Wonder what Weinstein thought he was going to get out of it? Whatever it was, Backman was going to welsh on that deal. Weinstein thought he had it in the bag for his buddy Backman turned out to amount to nothing. Arline couldn't find her way out of a wet paper bag that had a tear in it. And Backman ... well, it's fairly obvious that he's all washed up politically speaking even in courthouse circles. Time for another diaper change and don't forget to bag it before throwing it out.

    You lay with dogs....

Ross made him administrative Judge and then he screwed over Tom Lynch in the race for CJ against TObin

Pauly becomes a top guy in the Tobin Administration only to have Pauly's pal Ana Banana taint that whole group.

Pauly becomes a top guy with Weinstien only to convince Peter to do what they did for Arlene and fail. Weinstien whose reputation of not doing anything to piss people off is now gone and this move will be the eternal failure of his time as Chief Judge.

I have to give Paul credit while others in power around him always seem to get thrown under the bus, he always knows how to get out of the way. A cockroach in a nuclear holocaust.

In the end Karma is a bitch, while he could get for himself, poor Jeffy and Arlene cant catch a break.
