COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN

Blogging certainly is a funny thing.

After we posted Peter Weinstein's email a little after 1:00 PM concerning the juvenile spot, which Weinstein sent to judges at 12:17:24 PM, Stacy Ross was quick to memorialize a conversation via email she had with the Chief Judge earlier today, which Ross emailed to all judges at 1:28 PM.

Stacy's email follows:

Thank you Judge Weinstein for the congratulatory remarks in your previous email.

As we discussed earlier today, I would (be) very honored and it is my desire to serve in the juvenile division.

Thank you,
Stacy Ross

So there you have it.  Ross to juvenile.

Game over.

Does that mean Ross will take over Scher's dependency division? It appears that she hates dependency

If Backman was going to Ehrlich then Ross should too.

The normal rules didn't apply when Arlene was in the mix. Seniority normally would rule but not when a pay raise was in the cards for the Mrs. The Backmans got schneid and now Ross gets to skip in line to a cushy juvenile job others have coveted for years after working up the ladder from dependency and mh court. I don't like it either but if that was the deal for Arlene then Ross gets the same terms. What goes on in Beantown never changes. Keep up the good work.

If Weinstein was using his position to influence the JNC I believe he should be investigated by the JQC. I'm not saying he did but if that did happen he should be counseled or asked to step down.

Arlene is going to need a nice long massage in Chambers after all this is over. Oy vey, the stress. It's a good thing she's going back to Satellite where she belongs and where it's easy to have the personal masseuse slip in quietly.

there is nothing wrong with a judge, any judge, including judge Weinstein, from pushing a candidate before the JNC or in Tally. Read the Code.

New bloods in Juvenile. They need to replace Kenneth Gillespie. He is a tool. They need to abolish the affirmative action quota. He is a terrible activist judge who does not decide judiciously anymore. Just saying.

Doesn't look to be a communication breakdown to me. Just looks like Backman and Weinstein failed to insure the position for Arlene plain and simple. They shouldn't have been attempting to manipulate the process in the first place. Didn't we see enough of this crap under Ross and gang? We still are seeing it under Weinstein with Backman playing it behind the curtain, although his game doesn't appear to be improving any. To many other judges have caught on to it. Weinstein should have known better.

It is all quite simple if you know how the play their game...

Peter tells Ross she has the spot

Peter send the email under the pretense that if someone with more seniority wanted the spot they would get it over Ross (doubtful that would have been the case with Arlene)
When Paul still had power he would have found (or may still) a crony with more seniority to lay claim to the Juvi spot leaving Ross to dependency.

As he and Weinstien will learn, just as Dale and Vic did, once the empower is deemed without clothes the knives come out.
