Rumors about Eileen O'Connor retiring have been swirling for quite some time.  Now we're being told it's official, with her exit set for April 30th, 2014.  A call to Rick Scott's press office was made earlier, and they promised to get back to us, while O'Connor's JA offered an official "no comment" just a few minutes ago ...

Sorry, but, I have little respect for her.

She lied on her application and they totally screwed some guy who lied on his jury duty form.

She has gone out of her way to be one of the most state oriented judges every.

    Hey, where's Ostrow ??

I figured he would have seen this as a great opportunity to write nice comments to the departing judge, then sign his name with a brown-nose pen.

Wait! Hopefully TWO seats will open if justice is served.

Lose the robe, Laura M. Watson

Horrible Judge - Unworthy of her seat. Rumors that she fills her chambers with favorite lawyers, judges and certain staff members during her arrogant "pro se" hearings with the JQC. Why would we expect ethics now? Docket link above

I'll be glad to see the back of O'Connor. She got to the bench by lying and has done nothing to make the Broward bench any better since sitting.
